Off to surgery....

Wow, after what seemed like such a long time, surgery is tomorrow. I'm a whole bag of emotions, a little scared, a lot excited about the future, a little scared about recovery. This is my first major surgery of any kind so the whole hospital thing and not being in my own bed is a little weird. I'm wigged out about the drain, hopefully it will be removed before I go home from the hospital.

Aside from that... do you guys have recommendations for the stuff I should bring with me to the hospital?

I've got some chapstick and jammies but what else should I have?

 Congrats on your surgery tomorrow.    Pack a pillow......you will need it for your trip home to protect you from that dreaded seatbelt in case of a sudden stop !!!  Most never remember that.     Take a robe and some warm socks and house shoes.    YOu will suddenly be "cold" all the time.   But in a good way.....weight coming off and losing body's insulation.    Good luck tomorrow !!!!

Hey you have my surgery date! I will be one year out tomorrow! I pray that things go as well for you as they did for me! It has been an awesome year! Special thoughts and prayers to you! You are giving yourself an awesome Christmas present! Take a deep breath and don't look back. Be just and update us as soon as you can.

The drain doesn't  hurt or anything like that, it's just weird.

Take lip moisterizer! And a robe with pockets!

You and I will be sharing the same surgery date.I am scheduled for 7:30 am.   I am so ready to get this over with!!!   I am a nervous wreck but looking forward to a much healthier life.  I hope all goes well for you tomorrow.  Good Luck!!!!
