Snowy Saturday WLS Express
Good Morning My WLS Family,
Its a winter wonderland here at Dover AFB. I got up at 4 looked outside and the snow was falling. We have about 1 1/2 inches so far and it is supposed to snow all day and night. Only thing that would make any better would be if we had a fireplace. You can be sure Eric is going to want to go out in it so maybe a walk will be in order later. We will see. May just stay home and bake. Alissa I know you are traveling this way. Please Please be really careful. They are telling people here to stay in and not go out unless an emergency. Mark has stand by duty this weekend. Just means he has to have his phone close by and if anyone has problems with their heat or refridgeration they call him. Normally because of his rank he does not have to do this but I guess everyone in his shop is on snow duty and because he came late and was not put on a crew he offered to take standby. So far it has been quiet. Would like to think it will stay that way. Needless to say have no plans for today. Am really glad Tim did not try and come down this weekend. We talked yesterday and he is coming on the 26th and we will have our Christmas that day with him and Jon. He told me the only thing that mattered to him was to get Jon here so he can open his presents here. We may wait and do all the gifts under the three when he is here. Not sure yet. Ok well guess that is all for now. Life is good in Dover but I miss all my friends in Texas a lot. Never thought I would think of Texas as home. Prayers for those in need this morning, especially if you are traveling. Please be careful and remember there are people in that car I love! Have a blessed day. Love you guys
WOOOOHOOO for crazy busy Saturdays! I'm leaving Tuesday morning to go see my Mommy! That's means everything that needs to get done this week now needs to get done this weekend! LOL At least work is cool with me going, for the last several years it's been, 'we need you to take your vacation time' and then at the last minute there's been 'but this project has to be finished before the end of the year'.... so I haven't seen my Mom in over 2 yrs and now I'm all excited.... LOL
Prayers are going up for all that need them!
This is I'll be home for Christmas, my favorite Christmas song, but it's awfully short, so maybe I'll do a two-fer!
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
and here's number two - Home for the Holidays!
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home
I met a man who lives in Tennessee
And he was headin' for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are trav'lin' down
To Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee,
The traffic is terrific!
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home
Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Good morning. I bet the snow is really pretty Michelle.
Ben and I are taking my mom and dad to Katy to my brothers for Christmas w/ my side of the family today. My dad and stepmom will be there. It's really our Christmas w/ dad, but we started letting mom come a couple of years ago. we figured after almost 30 years they should be able to deal with each other. Of course nowdays there's a flirt a thon between them which doesn't sit well w/ my stepmom or stepdad! It's always fun to watch. Too bad I don't have my new Christmas video camera or I could YouTube it! There will be between 20-25 of us there depending on if my married niece in Spring comes w/ hubby and baby or not. Everyone else in the family will be there. My 2 nieces and one's baby are flying in from Nashville this morning for it.
Ben and I made a ham/cheese ball, chocolate sheath cake, green bean casserole and we may take asparagus for him to cook. I also made some candy w/ pretzels and rolo's and pecans to snack on.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday.
Prayers to all who need them, especially Laura, Donna W. and Paige as they continue to heal from their recent surgeries.

I am sitting at my kitchen table, dishwasher and washing machine both cranking, coffee maker cooking and Emm and Maddie snoring. Finally have a day 'off' but the agenda is full. Have to unload my car from packing it up at the apartment last night. My landlady called yesterday begging me to let her son stay there over the holiday. I had told her no way, but now she said she will pay me and I have all but a few things out already. So there is one last load to pick up and take to goodwill by this afternoon.
I still have some Christmas shopping to do. I at least know what to get my brother and sister in law but it means I have to venture to Wallyworld. That's always an experience this time of year. I do need a few groceries to get through until Wednesday morning when I leave for Shiner after my appointments.
I have my final visit with my surgeon on Wednesday morning. He is closing up shop. Sure wish I had a few more pounds off so I felt better about it. But I have done better than he expected and I know he is proud. Being almost 3 years out and still within 5 pounds of my lowest is pretty good.
I also have my first mammogram on Wednesday. I have avoided it, but after my last doctor visit and exam, she highly recommended it to 'rule out' anything. That has weighed heavy on my mind for weeks.
Okay, not sure who will even be online today or when I will be back on.
Prayers for all hurting, physically and otherwise.
Phyllis, I sure am sorry to hear about your pay cut. I know that would be devastating to me financially and emotionally and you are one of the hardest workers I know.

forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different
I've been thinking about you a lot here lately...I'm glad that things are settling down and getting back to "normal" (whatever THAT is). You probably won't hear anything back on the mammo til after the holiday, but try not to worry too much between now and then. I know, I know, easier said than done. I wish my situation was resolved as well...who knows when it will be. I HATE this more than you know.
Have a safe trip to Shiner...at least while you are there you can entertain your Mom with stories about "the people who live in the computer."
Hugs, Mari
Good morning train riders...today is Clay's birthday so those of you that know him, get on FB and give him some crap. We're probably going to Saltgrass to eat tonight. He loves Prime Rib and their's is really good.
I listed some textbooks on Half.com last night and already sold one. Another $50 towards the cruise. I have 2 more listed so hopefully they'll sell too. Need to get working on this house today. Only have today and tomorrow to whip it into shape before Mom comes. YIKES!!
Need to run to Tom Thumb and pick up a free ham from work so I'm off and running...later..

Good Morning OH Family!
I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee trying to get motivated to go shopping. Never thought in a million years that I would not want to go shopping. lol Rick's brothers are acting horrible since his father's death. Greed is a terrible thing. Sad to watch how they are treating Rick, esp. since he is the one that has been there for his parents night and day. It's going to be interesting when everyone leaves and Mimi needs help, we are the ones that will be glad to make sure she gets it. What's funny is that they both have 10 times more $ than we do and we are the ones that are not focused on it. I've blocked them and their wives on my facebook cause they took my comment about the "Schulenberg curse" which has nothing to do with them and turned it into a big deal. Saying I was ruining the "Schulenberg" name I tried to explain how the "Schulenberg curse" phrase started but they would not listen. Ok done with my vent. Time to go put my big girl panties on and go shopping and enjoy the day. Thanks for listening lol Give me a call if anyone wants to meet up tomorrow for dinner or coffee I really need some peep time and I'm off!
Your loved!
