FaLaLa Friday WLS Express

Good Morning train riders...I'm off for 3 days and need to get cleaning my house.  My mother AKA Mrs Clean will be arriving on Wednesday.  You'd think at 88 years old she wouldn't care but trust me the white glove will out and checking for dust.

Several of you have expressed an interest in buying my mother's car and it's now up for sale.  I had originally intended to sell it to my duaghter's boyfriend but it looks like that's not gonna happen.  It's a 95 Taurus (white with blue interior) with 110K miles and it's in perfect shape.  I've got $1800 in it so that's what I'll sell it for to my friends.  If I put it on Craig's List I'll ask a little more.  Anyway, if anyone wants more details, give me a shout.  It runs great, has had all of it's regular maintanance and has never been wrecked.

I'm finished with all of my shopping, now I just have to finish wrapping stuff today.  I'm scheduled to work on Christmas but there's a chance I might get to split the shift and only work 1/2 day if we're not too busy.  Fingers crossed.  I've been up since 4:00-couldn't sleep~might have to rest my eyes for a little while before I start cleaning.

Traveling prayers to all of you out there.  Be safe and enjoy the time with your loved ones.

~Stephanie~

Good morning all! Rhiannon's christmas play is today at her preschool. I can't wait. She's the christmas star (the 4 year olds are doing the nativity scene). Apparently there's a costume involved so I can't wait to see what she looks like. I already painted her finger nails yellow and I plan on spraying some sparkly stuff on her before she goes in. LOL. I don't care if she sparkles all day - she's always a star in my eyes. Anyway, I'm probably gonna cry so light mascara today. LOL. But if you're interested, I'll be putting the video up on my Facebook later today for family if you wanna watch it.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, I could use some additional health specific prayers. Apparently my parents are dealing with some health concerns that I didn't know about (should have known something was up - they didn't call me for a week...) but long story short my dad is having a biopsy on his prostrate to check for cancer from a nodule they found (results on Tues) and my mom has a blood clot in her heart. My mom has had heart failure for 13 years (complication free) and it looks like something is skimming over in there from deterioration of the heart. At least my mom goes to the doctor very regularly so I'm not too worried right now because she's in good hands. My dad's test scares the living crap out of me. I don't think I could handle another cancer right now. Both of the men in my life dealing with it? OMG. Just shoot me. At least it will have been found early if it is. He had to do annual check-ups for his job (retired last June) so there was nothing then, so hopefully nothing now. I'm a little punchy though about "early detection" since Eric went from good to 3 weeks away from death in about 4-5 months time. That's not a lot of time at all IMO.

So if you could just say a couple extra healing prayers over my family I would really appreciate it. With Eric's surgery Monday, and the test results Tuesday - I'm a basketcase. BLECH. Merry Christmas, here's a piece of **** that you call life. Enjoy the bow and ribbons.

my hubby had this same type of biopsy done several years ago... the biopsy got all of the nodule and it was benign..... I'll add your dad to my prayer list.....

Just wanted to update about my mom. She went to the doctor yesterday and apparently the clot is around the defibrulator in her heart on the right hand side. I guess if it breaks free (unlikely according to her doctor) then it will go to her lungs and not her brain or heart and the coumadin (sp?) will handle it. Whatever. Pretty dang scary still if you ask me.

Thanks for the prayers everyone!

Good morning! We made it to Rolla, MO last night. Super 8 beds not good so we slept about 4 hours. I can see some zip fizz in my future! We are headed to the Gateway Arch and then on to Ft. Wayne to see some of Bryan's family. We hope to get to Wheeling WV or Pittsburg but that is probably pushing it.
We had a good drive last night and got to hotel around 12:30am. We are about to pass Six Flags but I think we will pass.

Karen- love the song- have been singing it for as long as I can remember!

Hope everyone has a great day. Michelle stay safe and warm in the snow!

Good morning Train riders! I have my coffee and I am on board~Thanks for that song Karen-I love it! I copied it and am gonna e-mail it to my non-OH friends...so cute! Wow that is more snow than we ever see in Texas Michelle! Enjoy! Anybody ever make snow ice cream? My Mom made it for us as kids. I think I tried it once for mine. You are not supposed to use the first snow because of something in it(don't  remember what) Looks like the sun is gonna shine today here. So nice to see that sun-yesterday it just felt cold all day in the house but when I got out it was warmer out there then in, so I was hot in the store the way I was all bundled up. lol! Hope you all have a wonderful day! You are all just precous to me!

If we don’t put our efforts into creating what we want, then we have to put our efforts into coping with what we get!

HW: 277/ CW: 170/ GW: 157 Exercise goal: 4x a week.

I ate snow ice cream everytime it snowed growing up BUT not the first...due to germs and impurities in it.    Or that was what my Momma always said.  LOL   That is LOTS of snow Michelle.   Enjoy it
