The NIGH****CHMAN - Wednesday 12/16

Good afternoon all!  And a wonderful afternoon it is, got to see 2 of my grands today.  Mary watched Alex and Eryn while Oleta ran errands.

Alex is something else.  Five years old, going on 18.  The other day, while at the musical he was enthralled.  During intermission, he looked over at me and said "You know, this is remarkable.  Those dogs are amazing."  Geez.  I don't think I used remarkable in a sentence before I was 12 unless I was quoting the Little Rascals.  Do you remember that?  There is one episode where the one kid says Re-mark-able.

Anyway, today Alex says to me "I got in trouble at school today and it was not my fault."  I asked him why was it not his fault.  He says "Your son gave me candy last night.  The sugar in it made me be bad today."  (Oleta is on a kick that he can not have candy, because the sugar makes him hyper and that is when he gets in trouble.  Do you think maybe he has heard the conversations?)

Looking into purchasing a Nook or a Kindle within the next few months.  Anyone have any experience with either?  Just trying to weigh the pros and cons.  My daughter sent me an article today comparing the two.  It was slanted to the Kindle.

Not much else here, how about with you?

Just so you know, you need to
TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hey George!

Haven't posted in a while so I will give a huge update!

1)  Thank you and your wife for the Christmas Card.  I love Snowman and this one was so cute, it took my breath away!  Thanks again and I will take this one to work to hang on my wall and will keep year after year!

2) Kids say the darnest things.  One year at Thanksgiving with my sister in law and brother in law, I was wearing a shirt that fit just right so show a lot of curves in my breast area, etc.  My nephew looked at me and asked me why I wasn't normal.  I asked him what he meant and he said you are not normal.  Of course, I look down and looked at my chest and was thinking oh my goodness, this shows how big I am but I proceeded to ask him why he said I wasn't normal.  He says come here mommy, I will tell you.  He whispered in her ear and said she not fat.  (that of course upset my sister because she was on the heavy side)

3)  Friday(last week) I was scheduled for the eye doctor appointment.  I happened to have an infection that I had been getting 3 months but I had cleared it up by pulling my contact out and putting one back in.  Well needless to say, it wasn't cleared up and I had made it worse.  So for the rest of the week i am wearing my glasses.

4) Saturday afternoon I was eating some popcorn and heard a pop so figured it was the crown that I needed to have replaced.  On Monday at 3am, I woke up in so much pain  I called the doctor but they were booked.  I finally went to the ER on Monday afternoon.  They gave me medicine and then I got in to see the dentist on Tuesday.  She just basically told me that she couldn't do anything for me and let me go which made me very angry because of the pain I was in.  I came home and found a doctor just around the corner from me.  He sent me to a specialist because of me needing a root canal.  I called them and they was booked through the holiday.  They said that if there was an opening they would get me in right away.  Someone had cancelled for today and I took it.  Final diagnosis---the root canal I had 10 years ago, they missed one hidden root and that had flared up and was causing so much pain.  So root canal, pain has stopped and feel great!

5)  We leave on Saturday.

Have a great evening.  Can't keep my eyes open.
