Hi Alissa!

I prefer gift bags and I buy them in various colors/designs. I have a Mardi Gras planning meeting tonight and I am getting more and more excited about the upcoming Galas in February.

My WOO HOO for today is the scale is once again my friend!  It is moving in the losing direction.

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

Good morning.  We have our 2 day eat a thon for the holidays at work today.  OH boy...but YUCK...too many temptations sitting right outside my office door.  Ben came home last night and is anxiously awaiting his grades.  He's a little concerned about his Cellular Biology grade because he said he was so hard.  I'm praying for a passing grade.  The other 3 should be fine.  We go help with a kid thing at church this evening.  Ben's doing my desserts for me for things I have tomorrow.  Limo gets to go get groomed today.  He needs it!

Prayers for Danni's niece and all who need them.

Have a great Wednesday that seems like Thursday to me!

Karla

My Woohoo this week is that today is my last day of work work before vacation starting tomorrow.   I am to remember that our gift wrap this year has sock monkeys and snowmen (notice the continuing anti-yoda stance by the snowman consortium.  My other woohoo is that I have found one of my all time favorite Christmas songs on itunes.  I still have the LP this was originally on in the 60s but nice to have a clean version.  Alissa stated she had never heard it so I thought I would share it with you.

Gift wrap consists of whatever was on sale after Christmas 2 years ago.  I stocked up and we're still using it.  I'm almost done with this years wraping and still have about 6 rolls left.  Gotta love a good bargain.  Anyway, they are a hodge podge of styles and colors.  We have a tradition that each kid gets their own paper so that their gifts are easily identifiable on Christmas morning.  We started this when they were too little to read the names on the tags and it just stuck.  This year DD has the paper with Dogs, DS1 has Rudolph and DS2 has Santa.

Good morning Train Riders!  I'm struggling through with a crappy $10 keyboard here, and its frustrating the heck out of me.  My good gaming keyboard decided to start selectively omitting letters yesterday.  I'm hoping Jeff was able to fix it last night or I'm going to go buy a better one tonight.

Went to dinner at Mimi's Cafe with ladies from the church last night.  It ended up just being 3 of us and we stayed till 10pm talking.  It was great having some time to talk in depth about stuff going on at church.  Lots of hurt feelings there still, and I'm not really sure we'll survive it in the long run.  Saying lots of prayers every day that God continues to work in us there and that we can get everything worked out.

Today I've got work projects to finish up before our 2 week shut down, and a fight with HR about my paid time off.  Hoping that I don't end up having to borrow time from next year, but that may be what happens.  This afternoon I'm doing a bible study and then have a chiro appointment.  Then home for an evening with Jeff and working on cross stitch gifts.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Debbie, I haven't crossed stitched in ages.  Every now and then I see the containers of floss, but I should really get a project going after the first of the year.  Great way to keep hands busy.

Ho, Ho, Ho...trying to get in the spirit to go fight the crowds.  I've got a few stocking stuffer things to buy and need to get my Mom something.  Plus I just realized I have nothing for the dogs and cat.  Otis KNOWS what a stocking is and will go nuts if it's not filled to the brim.  I have a 30% off Kohl's coupon so I guess I'll start there.

I think we've finally decided how to spend the $1000 Home Depot gift card Clay won.  We're gonna buy a $1500 5 burner gas stove that has 2 ovens plus a convection oven.  So yes it's gonna cost us $500 but at least we'll get what we really want.

Shhh....Clay bought me a new computer for Christmas.  I KNOW, we weren't supposed to exchange gifts cuz we're saving for the cruise but he was sick of me complaining about mine being so slow.  I told him to wrap it and not tell me anything about it so at least there will be a tiny bit of surprise left.

Better run...I've got money to spend...
