This past week was a WHOLE lot better than the one before!Whew And that makes me feel better, but I can't let my guard down, or it'll sneak up and BITE me again.  I did pretty well, am happy.  It's a difficult time of year with family and work stressors, the hustle and bustle of the season...what with trying to get everything done that we said we were going to do in October LAST year--heehee!

Dunno what the weather is like there in TX, but here it's spitting rain, VERY foggy and slippery, so I am heading out about 10 minutes early.  I'm ready!

You're right Rhiannon -- it is hard to avoid them but you do what you've got to do!  I think that I'll find it easier when I don't have to go to parties and/or others homes when I don't have control. My first Christmas was a booger bear!  Hang in there...you'll make it through!

Well, I guess it wasn't a "fluke" or a dream because I am still in the 145's - WOO HOO.

Had an interesting weekend.  Enjoyed my Dad's visit from Vegas and went to a funeral on Sat and saw folks I worked with years ago.  Some never saw me heavy so I just looked older but some were happy for me losing the weight.

I wore my Lipo Express under my black slacks and felt SKINNY and confident.  I also wore a bright red sweater instead of black because I wasn't trying to hide anymore.

That Lipo garment really makes a difference!  I am wearing the same red sweater to work with my jeans and do not look quit as "trim".  I wouldn't want to wear it every day, but for a special occasion where you will be seeing a lot of people it is GREAT.

WooHoo!!! Not a fluke! This is a VERY good thing!

I LOVE my LipoExpress (which is why I have since bought a second one but in a smaller size). I don't wear it every day, but will wear it when I really want to look nice.  Glad you had a good visit with Dad!  Are you all ready for the holidays??  Sally is coming on the 22nd so I am hoping that we will have a good visit, going to drive down to Anniston (about 1.5hrs) to see the Gee's Bend quilts...am pretty excited about that, have wanted to see some of them for years.

I could probably take a water pill and drop 3 or 4 lbs today.  Almost 4 lbs over my lowest weight, but with the cruise and living on junk since the great flood of '09 on Wednesday - I'm happy it's not any worse than this!

That is fer sher!!  It's just too durned hard to eat well when you aren't in your own kitchen preparing your own food.  I certainly wouldn't worry about 1.8lbs, you have enough control to fix it as soon as you can.  This time of year is the pits (food-wise) anyway!!!  Check in next week and I'll be willing to bet that you have dumped that 2lbs plus a little more and if not, you'll get it after the first of the year!  You have the tool AND the desire to do it!!

OK, I lost the two pounds I gained in the prior two weeks, so I'm back to being within two pounds of goal.

I was so alarmed by the gain that I went on 5DPT, which is the reason I lost the two pounds ... even though I really blew Day 3 by making cutout cookies from scratch, with bittersweet chocolate piped on for decoration.  OMG.  I should have taken one of Danni's suggestions for "how not to sample whatever you're baking," like wearing a surgical mask over my yap.  Cookie dough of any kind is irresistible to me.  So I did not resist the cookie dough!

Nor did I resist the chocolate that was left over after the cookies were decorated.

Nor did I resist the finished cookies.

Needless to say, my days of holiday baking need to be over !

I know about the holiday cookie thing, which is why I DIDN'T make any.  No fudge, oatmeal ChocChip, Pressed cookies  --  NONE, ZIP, ZERO, NOTHING!!!!!! I don't think I have the willpower if they were in my house, so they aren't.  Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!

Now, ME?  I am dreading next week, will have family here and there will be FOOD! But all that is not eaten by them (and is NOT WLS friendly) by the time they leave, either goes down the disposal or to a friend's house. I am eating very well this week, have really planned out my meals so as to get me ready for Christmas and New Year's holidays.  Good Luck and let us know how you do this week as we gear up for the food fest that is Christmas...

Hugs, Mari

Total weight loss: 201 freakin' pounds

I'm proud to say I've been maintaining for a few weeks now.  In the past (before WLS) when I reached my goal weight, I stayed there all of 5 minutes before moving back in the wrong direction.   This is fabulous for me!!
