Good Morning My WLS Family,

Happy Saturday!  Its another cold day here but it is supposed to warm up.  I hope so want to get out and walk later.  Not exactly sure why I was up at 5 on a Saturday but thats an hour later then normal.  I am sure those of you that are going to Karens party will have a blast tonight.  I will be thinking about you all.    I asked when you no longer believed in Santa... I dont remember exactly what age I was but I think I was around 10 or so and it was only because I heard my Mom and Dad filling my stocking in the middle of the night.  Not sure how Eric thinks these days.  He is 13 and has never said he does not believe but not sure.  Guess he will figure it out when Jon has a filled stocking a week before Christmas.  I think I am going to do protein drinks today.  Will have my oatmeal but do protein after that.  It's one way I know to keep the carbs away! Scale is not and has not been nice to me all week.  No plans for the weekend except to wrap today, and church tomorrow.  Prayers this morning for all those in need.  Have a blessed day.  You are all loved.

Good Morning Train!

WOOOOHOOOO for SATURDAY!  Like you Michelle, I'm up way to early for a Sat., but I too slept in an hour, so I won't complain too much..... I have to get up at 2:00 tomorrow morning to do some testing, I might complain then......  LOL    I'm jealous of everyone going to the Christmas party tonight...... sigh.... the things we do for our jobs, but at least I have one.....

Prayers are going out to all that need them!

and our holiday music for today is......

Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
It's the best time of the year
I don't know if there'll be snow,
But have a cup of cheer.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
And when you walk down the street
Say Hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet.

Oh, ho, the mistletoe
Hung where you can see;
Somebody waits for you;
Kiss her once for me.
Have a holly jolly Christmas,
And in case you didn't hear,
Oh by golly, have a holly,
Jolly Christmas this year.

Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Good morning.  Like Liz, I still believe!

I have to clean house today and bake lots of cookies.  I'm also doing some "Cookies in a jar" mix for some gifts.  Ben and I will go to the town's Christmas event this evening and the lighted parade is at 6:00.  My niece is on a float so we will go to see her.

Prayers to all who need them.

Have a great weekend!

I'm cold!  So what's new, right?  Anyway, hubby out of town so I'm going shopping today and then I'm going to hurry home and wrap so no one sees what I bought.  If I have time, I'd like to go see New Moon.

Missing you all.  I'm so glad the semester is over so I can catch up with everyone.  Hope some of you will be at support group tomorrow.  I'm needing peep time!!

Make it a great day!

Ahhh....yes.  I very distinctly remember when I no longer believed in Santa.

My 2 younger brothers and I would put out our stockings ever Christmas Eve.  When we woke up, there was always a mix of presents from Mom and Dad and Santa under the tree, but the stockings were ALWAYS filled by Santa.  And...we always had 'the same thing' in the stockings. Things like Slinkys and Life Savers books and 'fun' stuff.

Anyway...one year, my youngest brother got a toothbrush with his name on it, as did I.  But my middle brother had a box that no toothbrush would fit in it.  When he opened it there was a note.  Since I was in the 4th grade and could read cursive writing, my parents had me read it for him.  It was a note from Santa saying that unfortunately the elves had SO many orders for toothbrushes with "John" on them they just ran out of time making enough.  He knew my brother was a good boy and very understanding and promised his toothbrush would be delivered later but wanted to make sure some of the other "John's" got their toothbrushes.  The problem is, as I was reading the note, I recognized the handwriting was my Daddy's.  I didn't say anything to my brothers and I never told my parents.  In fact, I think I was in my 30s when I told my mom that story and it was the first time she realized that's when I stopped believing in Santa.

Today....I booked another massage.  Yes, I'm hooked.  Then I'm probably headed to the quack shack (Care Now clinic) to see if I can get something to start working on this suspected sinus infection.  Then out to Longview with Clint and the kids for our friend's holiday party.  We'll be spending the night and headed back sometime tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Morning Everyone,

I guess I quit believing in Santa when I was probably about 11 or 12.   I remember being totally devistated when my 2 older sisters told me that he wasn't real.    What a shock for a kid huh???   I guess I will have to miss Karen's party tonight.    Googled it and it is 1 hour 20 minutes from my house in traffic.   UGH  Not sure I am up to driving that far since I just had the ole gallbladder out monday.    I am feeling better everyday but I can't even imagine trying to put my shapewear on.   UGH and I have really not much I can wear with the location of the incissions on my tummy and side.    I will be so glad when all the pressure, soreness, and swelling is all gone.    Geezzz !!!   LOL   Oh well....I may go out thrift shopping for a bit to get me out of the house for a little while.    Not sure what I will do the rest of the day.   I have done laundry this AM.    Work never stops for me...even with surgery.    Have a great time at the party and take lots of pictures so I will know what I missed out on.   Prayers for everyone in need.   Love you guys !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
