Alissa I has such a blast last night! And Rhiannon was wondering where you were when I got home! LOL. She had more smar-tea to pour for you. Hehehe. What a blast hanging with girlfriends on your night off! YAHOO! Thanks Alissa and Deb!

So, I'm slightly dreading this weekend. I work 12 am-8 am on both Saturday and Sunday (over 100 dozen donuts. PLUS muffins, bagels, etc. OMG!) and have a Santa thing at the firehouse on Saturday so I'm probably going to be working on about 4-5 hours of sleep until Sunday morning. My plans are to sleep from 6-11:30 tonight, work from 12-8, come home and sleep from 8-12ish, go to the Santa thing for a couple hours, sleep from 3-6:00, get ready for the party, party from 7-10:30, then come home and get ready for work from 12-8. WHEW! It's gonna be a crazy weekend! Then off to Christmas by Candlelight at Deb's church! WHOO HOO! I think I'll sleep all day on Monday. Yeah. That's what will be my motivation to get me through the weekend.

Good morning all and happy Friday,

I am sitting here anxiously awaiting phone calls or emails with some sort of job offers or at least something saying we selected someone else.  I know I didn't get the Southwest Airlines gig.  I'm still waiting to hear from Fiserv and not expecting it since they didn't call earlier in the week.  But they did say they would call one way or the other.  That leaves the interview from Tuesday.  I guess I probably won't hear anything on that one today most likely but it is getting discouraging.  Though I got yet another assessment from them to do the day after the interview because I made it one step further with them.  How many assessments do you have to do for a fairly menial job?  Well, so far 3.  UGH!  

Sorry, I'm trying to stay positive and not get too depressed.  I found out that Matt has to work on Christmas day, 7am-4pm so I'm feeling kind of hum drum.  I'll be with my family that day, and hopefully my kids if I can keep their father from dragging them with him, but I will miss my hubby.  Hopefully it will still turn out to be an okay Christmas.  It's not about the gifts you can buy but the Reason for the Season.  I always say as long as I have my family with me, I'm ok, but I won't have my honey.  Josh should fly home the 18th or the 19th and be here til the first of the year.  That will be nice.

What dept did you apply for.   I thought we were on a hiring freeze - have been for over a year and a half....give or take !!  lol

It is for a Customer Service Rep position.  I interviewed with Julie Monroe and another girl at the office in Irving on Royal Ln.  Julie said she would call this week whether I got the position or not.  There was only one opening.

Annette, I know it's hard but look on the bright side...I'm working from 7 AM-7 PM on Christmas.  At least he'll be home for dinner!!  We're going to have our family time on Christmas Eve instead.

Good Morning OH Family,

Just a quick post. This is truly a sad day at the Schulenbergs. Rick's mom called this morning and said she could not wake his dad up. We went over there and he had passed in his sleep. Of course she is shaken and devastated. His wishes were to be cremated and later we are going to have a family gathering in Kansas with family.Rick The blessing is that he was starting to have dementia so God took his body before his mind went. Please kee*****'s mom, Rick and his brothers in your prayers.
