TGIF my family! Not much new on my home front-been a busy, productive week at work, and evryone is healthy at home, so I'm counting my blessings, for sure...

Had one of those WLS "rut row" experiences last night...ate some chicken at at a chinese buffet..same place I went a week ago...NO problem then...this time...BIG problem...barely ate at all...ended up in the bathroom like a 2 week post op...gagging..foamies..carrying on...finally able to come home...had SEVERAL papaya pills....still carried on for hours...seriously considered the ER...but then thought "CRAP, I can't walk or talk, how will I explain anything?"...so I just sweated it out...CRAP...good to know the tool is still very much functioning, and I sure don't feel like eating today... I see a day of shakes and protein pudding in my future-at nearly 8 years out-the tool STILL works! Eat too quickly-talk instead of chewing-and WHAMMO!! Lesson well learned...

Extra special prayers going out for SHERRY and JOHN and their family-I cannot begin to imagine the pain they are going thru. Big ((((hugs))) for Justin and Carly in the loss of their baby sister, Chloe...

Time to bundle up and get out the door...fun times...

Oh...forgot to name my fave Christmas song...hmmm...it's pretty much whichever one it ON at the time...but if I had to name just ONE, it would be
"O Little Town of Bethlehem"...

Hope everyone has a Falala kind of day--ALISSA-I LOVE these titles!!

I LOVE Y'ALL AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!

Good morning all...and TGIF!

I think my illness is a sinus infection.  The concern I have is, I've never been very tolerant of antibiotics.  They usually make me very sick to my stomach.  The fun part is...I don't know of a single antibiotic that you can take on an empty or 'nearly' empty stomach...so I'm scared that if I go to the doctor, they'll prescribe me stuff that makes me feel worse than I do.

We won't be attending the TMB DFW holiday party tomorrow night.  We had already commited to a party with friends out in Longview for the night.  I'm sorry to miss meeting some local friends but I'm sure another opportunity will present itself.

Take care.  Off to work....6 more work days until we head to Arizona.

Get to the doctor girl.... they make several LIQUID antibotics that you can take just fine.... you may have to repeat several times that you need a liquid... just stick to your guns....

Hugs!

I will sing anywhere and everywhere and not well!! My favorite Christmas song is on the Bonaza Christmas Show Album ( yes it does mean the western tv show with Lorne Green). Actually there are a couple--"Christmas is a Commin","Santa Got Lost in Texas" and "Stuck in the Chimney"!! Yes, I do have the album and play it all through the holidays!!

Good morning Train Riders!!  TGIF!!!  Wooohooo!!  Ok, this is artificially induced, caffeine aided morning joy.  LOL, I've been staying up too late at night (again) and am sleepy this morning, but regardless it will be a great day.  I had a great time hanging with Jenny and Alissa last night.  We chit chatted at the nail salon for a while (they were running just an hour late there), then went to a thrift store and I found a few great sweaters, then off to Chipotle for dinner.

Jeff got a 94 on his final last night which means he's most likely going to be getting an A for the class.  Woohooo for him!  Once his grade posts he's going to get a new transcript and take it over to Richland.  Turns out one of the classes he signed up for in the spring uses the same exact book as the one he just finished, so we're hoping he can get credit for the class and sign up for something else.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!  Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone...not much going on here.  I NEED to get dressed and start my day but I love my warm robe and jammies.  I have to investigate Medicare Part D and Medigap plans today for my mother.  I have no idea where to start or how to pick one.  All I know is last year she paid way to much and got very little benefit from the one she had.

I also need to make a Walmart run and work on my house. Everything is a mess and Mom is coming for the holidays so I need to get started.  She is well known as the "neat freak" in the family-YIKES!!  Guess we should drag my Christmas tree out of the garage and plug it in.  It sits in it's stand all year long with the lights on and covered in a plastic bag so all we have to do it plug it in and add ornaments.

I'm really torqued cuz Clay's major present arrived yesterday (Pold Audio Stereo Speaker) and the box had a BIG OLD PICTURE  on it and he answered the door.  So he gets NO surprise gifts this year.  BUMMER !!

http://www.theseniorsource.org/ is in Dallas but I know they do alot on Medicare and Gap Insurance. Or maybe the local AARP office? I'm not overly familiar with these things for elderly-just for people who are blind. Of course we have alot of blind consumers that are elderly but that's not my department. Hope you find some answers!

Contact Paul Zobisch with the Sneiorsource.......that is my 1/2 brother.........I think that he started that company.....................good luck.
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Hey You Guys!

Vrrooomm.....  that's my drive by sound...lol

I am at the middle school this morning. It takes special people to teach middle school. I love my kids here but I don't know that I could take care of this age group M-F.

Lots of great plans for the weekend. Sunday we are hosting a jackpot show in Burleson. There will be pigs and goats. I get to do the weigh-ins. You all might want to have a moment of prayer!

Hope everyone has a fabulous day! Love you guys!
