I know it's been a while since I posted.....
Hello All,
I now it has been a while since I have posted, but I'm still here....lol
A lot of things have happened since the last time..(let's see) I've gotten all of my tests completed and got clearances from each one that I needed. That's good.
Completed all my nutrition classes...TYJ....last class was in Nov....yipppeeee
But there was some bad news. I lost my Grandmother on Nov.3rd., she was 78 years old. It has been the hardest thing for me to handle. She had Dementia and some other health problems and she was constantly in pain. So one day she decided she didn't want to continue living like this, and she figured out how to die. She stopped taking her medicine, she stopped eating or drinking. Eventually here body just gave out and everything started to shut down. It was and still is hard to deal with. And now the holidays are here, and she's not. And it just breaks my heart so much because I miss my Granny. (Sorry if that was too much detail) This is the first time that I have been able to talk about this with out crying.
But I did get some great news on Wednesday.....I Officially Have A Date.......it is Jan. 7Th. That's the best news I've heard in a long time. I am excited and kinda nervous at the same time........ Now I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. So all you Losers...slide over and make some room for me on that bench...cause her I come. Any needed information will be greatly appreciated.
Well that's what's been going on with me. Thanks for listening. Take Care everyone and Happy Holidays!!! I love this board, because you guys make sure we all stay abroad of what's going on, what works, what's good and everything else. You guys are like one big extended family that's always there. Don't ever change.

Dymone,
Im so sorry about your grandmother! I know that is hard! It seems like 2010 is a new start for you! I hope things go your way this year! Having surgery is exciting and emotional! Know that your emotions will run high and low over the next year as you start your new life. It is normal to feel this way! You will do fine- surgery is the easy part! The next year is the challenge! You will do great! Have faith! The boards are here for you!

Thanks Michelle,
And your right, it is and has been hard. But I can take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and she is now at peace.
Once I got the news about my date, I was so excited (and I still am..lol) I know that this new lifestyle is going to be a new challenge for me and I feel as though I am ready to face it head on. Take Care & Happy Holidays!

Woo Hoo....Congratulations! When you finally get that date it finally feels real, doesn't it?
My best suggestion for taking to the hospital is something called Oasis Moisterizing Mouth Spray. It has a glycerine base so your moluth stays moist a long time plus it's minty fresh! You can get it as most any large pharmacy like Walgreens, CVS, etc.
For protein now and after you get home...Unjury Chicken Soup mix is very good. I got so tired of sweet shakes, this stuff was heaven! I still have it for lunch, I just add diced chicken to it. And I've started cooking with it. I use it anytime something calls for chicken broth.
I'm so sorry for your Grandmother's passing. But you know she's with you and will be there for these holidays. Only now she's young and in good health again and watching over her family forever.
