Almost a year out already??

I can't believe that a year ago I was getting ready to have surgery.  I really do think that the time has flown by.  I remember thinking, can I really do this?  Will it all be OK?  Will I be successful at following the rules and doing as I am told?
I am VERY HAPPY to say that I really could do it, all went well and I have been following the rules.  To date I have lost 119 pounds and am 25 pounds away from my goal weight.  I wish I would have done this sooner, but I also think that I needed to wait to mentally be ready for it.

I am grateful for the tool that I have and learn more about everyday.  When I think I have it figured it out, I find out that I don't. But I am enjoying the experience and very happy with the results.  I am smaller than I can ever remember being and healthier. I will always be diabetic since I was a low grade type 2 before surgery, but now I am always in the normal ranges and not a diabetic according to my labs.

Thanks for letting me reflect on this and quickly the time has flown by.  I am sure I will post something when I hit the 1 year date.

Congratulations!!!

Isn't it funny how it goes by so fast and when you were waiting for approval you didn't think the day would EVER get here?!?!
