6 years out and I hate food
Unfortunately I LOVE it just as much as I always did. I'm 2.5 years out and can eat anything and everything, so for me it is still a daily struggle to not regain my weight.
Interesting topic but I need more details. Why do you hate it? Is it that you are bored eating the same things? Not hungry? Nauseated?

I'm really sorry to hear that you feel that way about food cuz for me it's still one of life's greatest pleasures. I have a friend that had a RNY and has lost too much weight and I know she feels the same way that you do. She says it's too much effort to eat and when she does she feels nauseated a lot of the time. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm 3 years 4 months out. I'm never hungry for anything in particular. I can eat more than I should so I guess it's not that I hate food, because I don't, but that I'm wary of it. I've regained 20 lbs because I'm a nighttime snacker. And food still tastes great! I was hoping that I wouldn't like it as much after the surgery. I loved the honeymoon phase. But my family hated it because when they would ask me if I was hungry when they were, I'd always say no. So I eat when I'm not hungry because like you, I know I have to get the nutrients. And protein drinks/bars make me nauseaus so I have to choke them down.
Initial surgery 2006-Highest weight 305 - got down to 180
Having revision surgery soon!
Current 265 / Goal 180
