How My Mannerisms Have Changed........
since losing 100 pounds.......
I was standing in line to buy a book at Borders on Saturday and was behind a morbidly obese woman. I watched her tug and pull on her shirt several times and realized I used to do that all the time, too because (1) my shirts didn't fit properly over my big butt and tended to ride up and (2) I was constantly trying to cover up said butt so others wouldn't be subjected to it!
It is a nervous, fidgety habit I am glad to be rid of.
It got me to thinking about my other mannerisms and how they have changed........
I cross my arms *under* my boobs now instead of resting them on my belly.....
I automatically cross my legs whenever I sit now because it is more comfortable that way......
And the number one "mannerism" I have acquired since losing 100 pounds...... and have had more comments on it than my weight I think...... is I SMILE more now!

I noticed the same thing standing in the checkout line at Malwart.
Now that my clothes are fitting better, I'm not nearly so 'twitchy'!
I can stand on my feet rather than having to rock back and forth to keep the weight even distributed!
I don't know if you call them mannerisms but there have been changes that DH has noticed...
He said that I'm walking different, that my gait and stance are totally different.
He's constantly feeling of my shoulder bones and mentioning the loss of 'rolls'... I'm taking that as a man compliment!
He's also mentioned I smile more, too.
My car is bigger! I've had to adjust the seat and all the mirrors.
I not only can put on my socks and shoes by myself but I can tie them in the middle!

Oooohhhh..... I forgot about having to shift my feet from one to the other if I had to stand for a long time because they were *killing* me. Now I can stand as long as I want w/o any issues.
In fact.... last night I tried something I haven't done before. I squatted down in front of my lower kitchen cabinet to look for something and normally I would still brace myself to stand up but I tried standing straight up from a squat and my knees didn't give out! I couldn't even squat before surgery so I have been happy with just being able to do that, but standing up in one motion seemed a pipe-dream - NOT ANY MORE.
I hear ya about the car - I have to adjust the mirror down now after Kyle has been driving it. We used to keep it at the same height, but now that I am not sitting on so much fat I sit shorter in the car HA HA.

Everything you said in this post is sooooo familiar. The biggest one for me is crossing my legs -- OMG, I can!!!!! and tying my shoes, like Dee said, I can tie them in the middle instead of to one side. I don't think I have really paid attention to some of these. I might have to make a list.......hmmmm!
