Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for Plastic Surgeons in the Houston area. I'm also looking into Mexico. I'd appreciate any ideas. I'm already looking at Dr. Casso in Clear Lake area and know several people that have used him. Any idea's? Thanks!!

If you're willing to fly out of the U.S. for a great surgeon at great cash pay rates, I'd look into using Dr. Elias Kuster at the Clinica Kuster in Vila Velha, Brazil ..

This is the link to Dr. K.'s Yahoo newsgroup. We're a friendly bunch on there. "Bianca" is his concierge, speaks and writes English well, and is very helpful and sweet:

There is also a list of Dr. K.'s current fees for the different procedures on there as a file. Keep in mind that the more procedures you have done at the same time, the lower overall cost, as he gives a discount for each additional one done as a "package deal."

According to a post on the newsgroup earlier this week, Dr. K.'s next trip to the U.S. to do consultations and to reunite with his former U.S. patients will be 4/24/10 in the D.C. area. You can also get a consultation before then by taking photographs of the areas you need worked on and sending them to him, via Bianca.

Stephanie, I used Dr. Michael Chaney off of 1960 and like the results. I'm not a barbie doll but I'm old so I can't expect to look like Barbie :).

I had three consults ~ Dr. Chaney, Dr. Wainwright and Dr. Camille Cash. My first choice was Dr. Wainwright due to his experience with WLS patients and his prices (slightly less). Due to time constraints I ended up using Dr. Chaney, which was my second choice.

My friends used Dr. Lomonaco who specializes in WLS and cancer pt.s and Dr. Camille Cash. Dr. Lomonaco has you look at peoples photos with your skin type to see how the scars will look. Dr. Cash does her arm incisions on the inside of the arm versus the back of the arm. Dr. Cash is very knowlegeable I would prefer her. She diagnoised me this year with lymphedema and put me on the right track. I had spoken to Dr. Lomonaco a couple times and he never mentioned in his talks or to me personally that lymphedema needs to be treated and that it can be very debilitating. One friend told me that Dr.s outside the Medical Center are much cheaper. That you can get a Medical Center Dr. but if they have an office outside the loop it is cheaper. Also a surgery center is not as good as a real hospital my friend who had a total body lift last month told me. Check out all of your options. The cost maybe cheaper but is it safer and as good a results?
