You don't need to worry! You know how to kick butt and NOT take names.  Even if you did gain a little, you'll get it back off again in a few days.  I hope that you were able to leave all the stress on shore and have an absolutely WONDERFUL time!  Vacation is pretty high on my Xmas list this year and I don't think Santa is going to be leaving one under myChristmas Tree 2 . Worst Luck.......

Vicki - You're right...Carbs are NOT your friend and it's very hard to not indulge yourself, especially at this time of year.  You just have to keep it in perspective and decide what you want more, carbs or your goal.  It's a hard choice to make, especially for those of us who have had food as our best-friend for years.  Coming here and talking with those who have been there and are going through it is a great step in the right direction.  Hang in there, Vicki!

I'm not sure what I weigh today, I got on the scale 5 times today and it was from 132.8 to 134.4.  Two times at the lowest and two times at the highest, one inbetween.  Hmmm, thinking I might need a new battery.

I'm not taking 132.8 as my weight cuz I don't think that's right, would be super happy if it was.

Last week ~ 134.6 so either way I didn't gain and for that I AM THANKFUL!

Are you going to have someone to post after your surgery to let us know how you are??? I kinda bet you aren't going to feel much like typing (except maybe with a pencil in your mouth).  Let us know, please! You have done such an amazing job on this journey, I can't believe that you would do anything less than great with your PS.  How long do you have to wait until you can exercise? Can you do other types (not right away of course, but walking and or riding a stationary bike****il you can use your arms? Maybe you'll have enough good drugs that you won't miss the endorphin rush for a little while.  Evil Grin

Laura, I had the exact same worry before my plastic surgery:  Will I start sitting on my ass and never find it in myself to start exercising again?  I was terrified that, if I broke my routine, I would never get back in the saddle.

I stopped exercising for about 3 weeks after my facelift and breast lift.  My plastic surgeon told me that, until my swelling went down enough, I would swell up like a toad if I did vigorous cardio!  That was definitely a deterrent.  But when the swelling went down and I felt good enough, I got right back on that bike.  I spent a couple of weeks making up lost ground.  Five weeks later,  I'm back to the level I was at before my PS.

Trust yourself.  You're a different person now.  You can and will get right back to your exercise routine.

Let us know all about the brachioplasty!  That one is on my wish list.

I'm late posting today!  I have been running kids to Dentist appt. and up at the hospital with my friend, her mom had band to bypass today.  It took longer than they thought, she had some scar tissue from her band and her spleen was bleeding.  She was doing well when I left at 7:20pm. I'll check in with her tomorrow again.  She called me an inspiration.  Wow ...
