Congrats on your upcoming surgery.  Don't know what kind of surgery you will have, but walk and sip, walk and sip.  Oh something you will surely want to keep with you is  A POSTIVE ATTITUDE!!!   Have a great weekend and good luck on your upcoming journey!!

Blessings,

Nina

Thanks. Just updated my profile! I'm having a revision (from Lapband to RNY).

Bring lotion and chapstick because everything is so dry at the hospital. Slippers for sure because you will be walking and hospital floors are filthy no matter what hospital. I should know - been in a few. Lol. For me it seemed my time of the month always came regardless of the timing and hospital pads are awful. And don't forget your robe and comfy clothes to wear home in case you go home with drains.

I had a revision from a lapband to a RNY and it was done laproscopically.  I was in and out in 14 hours.  Therefore all I took was my cellphone. robe, slippers, gas-x, chapstick and a snack bag for my hubby.  I didn't have time to read or anything else.  When I wasn't sleeping, I was walking then I was being driven home.  Oh, yeah, a pillow for the car ride home to hold against your tummy.

BTW, my revision was the best thing I ever did.

Pretty much what Stephanie said is the main list.  Chapstick is so important because your mouth will most likely be really dry plus the fact they don't let you have anything to drin****il after the leak test.
Make sure your robe is large enough, comfy and preferably stretch so it is easier to move in.  House shoes that you won't slip down in are a must too.

Take care of yourself!  Best wishes for your surgery.

The most important thing I bought was chapstick, your lips will be super dry since you won't intake liquid initially.

Other things I used:

Pillow (especially for the ride home)
Robe
Slippers
Tooth brush
Toothpaste
Warm ups or something else lose and comfortable for the ride home

I was in the hospital one night only.

Oops, sorry wanted to wish you the best on your surgery.  Be sure you take preop pictures and your measurements and FOLLOW YOUR surgeon's plan.

I also brought flushable wipes and was glad I did.  Let's just say the barium went right through me after the leak test and it was not pretty.

I brought:

chapstick
flushable wipes
robe
slippers
comfy clothes for the ride home
sudoku puzzles and celebrity gossip magazines to keep me busy

Congrats and I wish you a speedy recovery!!

Yes, to what everyone else has said.  You might want to add a back scratcher.  Pain meds make me itch (or something did).  Anyway..I itched all the way to my toes.  One of those cheap 1.00 wooden back scratchers came in oh so hand!
