Snowmen Saturday WLS Express
I have housecleaning to do today and I need to make some sausage-cheese balls for sunday school tomorrow. We're hanging at the house today.
My first snow memories (which were probably really ice memories) was in 5th or 6th grade. There were predictions of severe cold weather here in Livingston and girls were only allowed to wear dresses. The school board ok'd us wearing pants. My sister and I were excited because we could wear pants to school the next day. We got home and our mom had spent all day making us long dresses w/ corduroy skirt on them so we would have "warm" dresses to wear. We were NOT happy! We did enjoy the white day though!
Prayers to all who need them.
Danni...got Tim's box in the mail, but they didn't know if it would make it by Christmas so it may be after that. The priority mail boxes weren't big enough and I had to ship it as a parcel.
Have a great weekend!

Did I have snow growing up? You bet I did, I grew up in the Catskill Mountains of New York. We used to have to shovel the roof so it didn't collapse. I used to go inside in September and come out in March. That's why when I got old enough, I packed my bags and came to Texas. I LOVE warm weather and despise cold.
I really have no plans for today other than working on cleaning my house. I have to work tomorrow so that just leaves today. My Mom isn't adjusting well to her assisted living facility and my sister who lives close is going on a cruise for 2 weeks so I am going to bring Mom here for a week. Unfortunately Mom is a neat freak and we're FAR from it so the house needs a lot of work.
I'm selling a few things on ebay to help get money for our WLS cruise. My old phone is already up to $66 with 1.5 days left to go~woohoo I bet I get at least $90 for it. I hope to make at least $150 on my ebay sales (2 items) and I will definately put that back for the cruise. I'm really trying to think ahead to I don't have to scramble at the last minute for funds.
Make it a great day. I know there's lots of support groups meeting today so have fun without me.

It's not hard to set up an account. I did this after WLS and kinda got addicted to buying so I've stayed away from Ebay for the most part.

Good Morning Alissa and all the rest of my TMB Family,
I suppose I could have started the train too at 4:00 am but like Dana did not think anyone would want to hear it that early. This 4 am is becoming a norm for me..The day I sleep past 5:00 not sure what I will do. I saw lots and lots of snow growing up. I was raised on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and we could always count on at least a week worth of snow days out from school My parents used to take us to the local golf course cause they had the best hill in town for sledding and then we went home for hot chocolet around the fire place. Man I miss that. We are supposed to get snow/rain here this afternoon but we will see. Mark and I are heading out in just a little bit to go to the mall, to look at sleep by number beds and to get him some sneakers. Then to best buy for a gift certificate and if I have my way a new tV. Tired of him having to fix the one in the living room every couple of months. Think I will pull some Turkey Soup out of the freezer for dinner. Will be a good night for it. Hope you guys are having fun at RnS. Give each other hugs for me. Prayers for all those in need. Have a blessed day. Love you guys.
I have to say that the one thing I miss most is SNOW!!! Growing up in Kansas and Iowa we had lots of snow!!!! We would also go skiing in Colorado every year... Have I said how much I LOVE the snow!!!!!! I hate to drive in it and shovel it....but I love to play in it!!!
Got lots to do this weekend!!! I must finish Christmas shopping...otherwise it will be up to my hubby and that's not a good thing!!! I am also going to my first Bunko night tonight. I think the group is mostly lapbanders but I'm not sure... I've only met one of them. Stepping out of my box tonight!!! Then I need to go see a Christmas play tomorrow hopefully... hubby and kids are the stage managers for this production and then they will be in the last act singing Christmas carols. It will be playing for the next 3 weekends but not sure I will be up to going to any of those.... maybe the last weekend?? I will be 2 weeks post op by then. I'm also suppose to have a photo shoot this weekend but it's sooooooooooooooo cold today and rain is in the forecast for tomorrow. She wanted these for Christmas so it's this weekend or not for a few weeks at least.
I went yesterday to see my doctor and he did all my markings for Monday. OMG!!!! I can't believe how much skin he is going to remove!!!! I'm also a bit afraid that once he does the BL I won't have any boobs left!!!! But I will worry about that later!!! Getting nervous.... but anxious to get this out of the way and start the recovery process!!!!
Okay guess I better get started with my to do list!!!!! Prayers going out to all who need them today! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
