Wow- I thought for sure someone would have started the train by now. Guess we are all sleeping in-which is great! We lived in Ann Arbor when I was ages 3-5 and we have so much snow. But since I was young my sister and I thought it was great! We'd wait until the street snow blower would come to clear the street and it would make huge piles of snow on the sides of the road. Then we'd tunnel through them and crawl in. And of course we made lots of snow angels and snowmen. Then we moved to south of Houston so needless to say our snow days were fewer and further between!

Its almost time to head out to take Bryan to the park to walk and then to Rise and Shine. I hope to see you there!!!!

Probably work on my Jojo's blanket, I've only been working on it since she was 6 months old, she is now 7 yrs old!!   The scarf I was making for Aaliyah, well the yarn apparently has been discontinued..OOPS!  Should've finsihed that back in 2006.. ya think?! LOL  Guess I am not the world's GREATEST grandma, but to them I AM so that is what counts!!

Hope you and everyone has a great day!

Blessings,

Nina

I'm the same way Nina. I started a big needlepoint about 6 years ago and then I put it away and never got back to it and finally tossed it because the hoop made the fabric discolored. Then I started a baby needlepoint for Emily when my sister got pregnant and I'm still not done and she
s 2. lol.

Your train names crack me up! LOL. Too cute!

I sure did have snow growing up in Chicago, but I must say the snow didn't fall as often as it does today. Last year they had something like 4-5 feet worth of snow where we maybe had 1 to 1 1/2 feet growing up. Very odd and I sure don't miss it! I loved the snowfall the other day, and hope we can have maybe one or two days worth of it here so Rhiannon can sled, but otherwise I am good. I need no winter wonderland for months out of my life anymore. Although frozen toes and gloves that can't possibly dry fast enough from snowball fights and red ruddy cheeks from playing out in the cold are all fond memories. I waited and waited all day yesterday for something and nada. Next time I will wake Rhi Rhi up early so she can see it. Who knows when it'll be back!

Off to support group this morning, then off to Debbi's to do her hair. I can't wait! I love girlie girl time!

I could have started the train at 2:00 a.m. but didn't think anyone wanted to hear the noise.  I'm starting to feel like Liz with no darn sleep; add a continuous daily headache to the mix and I'm grumpy.

No snow growing up, I've seen more snow in the past 5 years than I have my entire life.  If I'm remembering correctly maybe 6 times in my entire life.  Yesterday was a joke, the snow came down here about 15 minutes and stopped.  Seems like it skirted right around this area.

Not much planned today, it's entirely too cold to be outside.  I'll do some minor house work and hopefully sometimes find a nap.

Do a search and look at hormones and how an imbalance can cause insomnia.  I found a bunch of sites, but this one sums it up as well as any of them.  I'd get it checked.  A lack of sleep is not going to do anything good for you!

So very tired today.

Last night we didn't get to bed until almost 1:30.  One of my dearest friends had their company Christmas gala last night and her babysitters fell through.  So...Uncle Clint and Aunt Jenn went over to take care of the 12 year old boy and the 11 month old girl.  It was great but I am SO tired this morning.  I couldn't sleep past 7:15 so I went ahead and got up.  I forsee a nap in my future.

Brrrrrr....chilly morning.  Its days like this I wish I was back on coffee.  I miss my morning cup but I'm afraid to try caffene so soon.  My doctor said I can have a serving a day.  My pre surgery serving was a 20 oz cup in the morning and that was it.  Yes...I know 20 oz is basically 3 servings.  Oh well.  Maybe I'll give it a shot in a couple of weeks.

Growing up in Michigan and then living in Chicago for the first 8 years of my 20's I'm used to lots and lots of snow.  I always chuckle here when a few flake**** the ground and people start closing offices early and line up at the grocery store for canned goods and bottled water.  Like we're going to get snowed in for a week in NorthEast Texas.  I have been snowed in before...over Christmas in fact.  Thank goodness we had a snowmobile.  I still remember going to Grandmas for Christmas that year through the frozen bean and corn fields with mom and dad on the snowmobile and my brothers and I curled up in the bobslead being pulled behind it.  It was fun!

Off to go boil some water.  Maybe some tea this morning will get me warmed up and snuggly.  Who knows....with no caffene maybe it will be enough to lull me back to an early morning nap.
