I'm freezing and need a recipe for LOW CALORIE hot chocolate.  I don't care if it's sugar free or not since I don't dump but it must be low cal.  Im sitting here wearing the WONDERFUL socks our Sarah made me (and sweats)  listening to Adam Lambert's new CD and want something better to drink than Swiss Miss 25 calorie hot cocoa.

Funny you should ask, when I clicked on the link, this review was there:

I have used this recipe for many, many years, and made it again last night for the first time in ages. Its still as good as ever. I used Hood's carb countdown milk in it, and it turned out so good.

I'm gonna give it a try.

OK, here's what I did...I made it with one cup Hood's Calorie Countdown Chocolate Milk, 2 T Hershey's cocoa, and 2 T splenda and 1/4 tsp vanilla and let me tell you, it was AWESOME.  Then I put some marshmallow creme on the top which made it exceptional but NOT low cal.

I make my own:

2% milk
cocoa
1 tsp of vanilla
Splenda to my taste

VERY easy and I LOVE it.  Sometimes I'll add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg to change it up.

Stephanie....this is how I make homemade hot chocolate and everyone LOVES it.    I take cocoa powder and put about 1 T powder per 2 cups of cocoa...then add sweetner or sugar whichever you perfer to your taste.....add to 1/2 to cup of water and stir over medium heat till blended....then add milk and stir till hot or warm ( however you want it to drink ) and enjoy.   You can add cinnnamon to the cocoa powder...or whip topping to cocoa or marshmellows.    It is yummy !!!
