Well, I went to the Gyn. yesterday since I haven't been in like 3 years! I really liked her a lot and she is very proactive about my hormone issues and lack of "drive". We're gonna try a different approach to hormone therapy since I have been off them since at least 2000. SHe said once you haven't taken them for 2-5 years, the risk factor increases if you go back on HRT. So we shall see! I didn't like what I saw on the scale at all!!! Of course I discounted it as weighing with my clothes and shoes on!! LOL I usually stay between 160-164, but those scales showed 170 on the nose!! i need to see what my scales show nekkid! If i can find them!! Yall know I am a reformed Scale Ho!!
Haven't bought any Christmas presents yet...I'm usually a last minute type person. I think we are gonna take the youngest grandbabies to a Christmas Tree Farm Sunday. Maybe a new tradition with them! Bill was Santa at a local farm for years when we lived in Grand Saline. we had so much fun and want to pass that on to the kiddos!
My mission Saturday is to throw a crap load of stuff/junk away. My house is so cluttered. A lot is from having a bi-polar husband that thinks we cannot live without something and then it just ends up sitting in a sack in the corner forever. He is supposed to go on a hunting/scouting trip tomorrow, so I am using that time wisely!!! LOL Then maybe we can decorate!
Supposed to snow later today, so we shall see! It was 36 here this morning, very still, funky looking clouds! Let it Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugz and prayers to all that need them!!!!!
Love yall!

I had a wow moment yesterday I wanted to share. I went over to my in-laws to pick up my Christmas decorations from their attic. I have always had a bit of a fear of ladders so very rarely ever went up into any attics. The fear has always been that the ladders couldn't hold me and attic ladders creak a lot so that only added to my fears. Well it struck me that Jeff regularly goes up into his parent's attic to get stuff for them, and I weigh less than him now. So, I went up into the attic! Up and down the ladder and it held me with no problem. LOL, guess it's just another way my head hasn't caught up with my body.
So now that I have my decorations I'm going to put stuff up around the apartment and decorate the patio tonight. The apartment complex is going to have a patio contest and while I have not illusions of winning it, I am in the mood this year to decorate and get into the spirit.
Ok, work laptop has logged onto everything so I guess it's time to hit the ground running. Hope everyone has a blessed day! Stay warm and drink lots of water (hot or cold!).

Good morning all,
Woohoo for Friday. I know, I'm not working so what does it matter. It means my hubby will be home with me. I had a verry good interview yesterday so we will see next week if I get the job. It was one of those where they keep saying, oh, you would fit in great with the group. Made me feel good but we will see if it meant anything. I'm trying to stay positive but not be too disappointed. I like the location of this job, Irving. The pay is within my range and the hours should work for me. Potentially work Saturdays for a while but that would be temporary. I still have the other interview on Tuesday but that one is on the other side of Downtown Ft Worth so more traffic to deal with and they already told me the hours would be 9-6. Not too crazy about that with the drive but we will see. I'm just glad to have some calls for a change.
Saying prayers for all of you. Hope to see some of you at IKEA in the morning if my cold stays away. Have a great day and wonderful weekend everyone.
I'm at the jr high this morning to see kids over here. I am about to go get my second group for the day.
There is a cookie exchange this afternoon at one of the teacher's homes. I am planning on going for a bit. Tomorrow Kaylee has a show and then I have the Jingle Bell run. If her dad decides to come watch her then I don't have to drop her off in Arlington at Six Flags, but he may decide that he has to go to Six Flags so as not to miss out on his lunch that comes with the ticket. Tomorrow evening the girls are riding their horses in the local parade. It's one of those days that I wish I could be at two places at once. I'd like to ride in the parade too.
Gotta go get some kiddos! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Prayers for Tara this morning as she heals from surgery!
Love you guys!
Tracey

We had snow this morning out in Katy. So funny to watch my 7 yr. old literally GIGGLE all the way to the bus stop! Ehh, used to have to scoop that white fluffy cold stuff growing up in Illinois so yeah, it's pretty, but I don't want to scoop it! YUCK!
Hubby's company holiday party is tonight so they will let everyone go home by 2-3 pm and then the party starts at 7:00. Only bad thing it is downtown so we'll see how that plays out with the weather!!! No matter, I will be the one driving and I'll be in my Suburban instead of his smaller car.
Last soccer game of the season tomorrow afternoon if Mother Nature lets us get this last game in. I sure hope so. I want this season to be OVER already! The two older girls are heading to Tully stadium to freeze their fannies off watching their high school football playoff game. Paul normally goes with them as he loves high school football too, but since it's Sarah's last game, he told her he wouldn't miss it so he's not.
I did get some sad news this morning though - one of my dearest friends' mom passed away last night. She had fallen and broke her hip last Wednesday. Surgery to fix that went ok, but then her kidneys failed. So sad. She is so worried that her dad will be soon to follow. Her mom was 91 and I think her dad is either the same age or a year older. She has been going to their house after work every day to look after them, making sure they get their correct meds down the hatch and are eating. Just breaks my heart - especially right before the holidays.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!!! Stay warm!!!
