I'm baaaack...   Just dropping in real quick, have not even read the board to see what is going on.  Will do that later tonight and tomorrow.  Will tell about the wonderful vacation later.  It was GREAT!!!!  If you ever get a chance to go to Branson, Shoji Tabuchi is a must see.  WOW, what a show.

Thank you Jill for keeping the NW going while I was gone.  Thanks to all who post on it.  Appreciate everyone.

Gotta go visit my son, will be back later.

Just so you know, you need to
TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Jeris asks for prayer as she is a single mom to a 4 year old and is in the working world.

July is going through a divorce, requesting prayers for her and her kiddos.  We know a divorce is tough, and can be especially tough financially.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his GF and their kids.  They went to court 10/29 to try and get them back from CPS and it's been a real struggle.

Meggie's mother has breast cancer.  She has a large hematoma under it. Her lumpectomy will be on Wed,  11/11. It is stage 1 cancer and they do not believe it has spread yet and don't think they will need to remove any lymph nodes! Radiation therapy will start in 6 weeks everyday for 6-8 weeks!

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers.  Her father will be having surgery Dec. 14th in hopes of completely ridding his body of cancer.  Also for herself as she will be seeing her doctor on Dec. 17th to discuss removal of mesh and possible reversal.  Is really needing some "normalcy" in her life.

Vivian requests prayers for the extra stress in her life.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2.

Thanks to Jill!

Glad you are back, George!  :-)

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Ehhh...that's what friends are for!

OMG...getting ready for the big "snow" down here.  It is SO funny to see how the schools are already jumping into panic mode.  Not that it is unwarranted, but when I was a kid, schools never closed for 1-2" of snow!  Maybe 1-2 FEET of it, but not inches.  Of course, I am fully aware that it is a safety issue as the buses are not equipped to handle icy roads.  The district sent out an email tonight letting us all know what safety measures are in place and that the district is officially in "condition/status orange".  Orange?  Really?  I'd say more like WHITE!

Ok, gotta get the four legged kid to bed and then can start the "mommy" stuff.  Oh man, Schnitzel is NOT going to want to go out in that stuff tomorrow!!!

Glad you and Mary are back and most importantly, had a great time!

Jill,

I just laugh about the schools either closing or letting our early.  My neighborhood is already panicking about how they are going to be able to pick up their kids today.

I know when I went to school, there hardly called off school and in fact when I was in Kindergarten, we were still in school with a Blizzard going and the kids whom lived out in the country had to go home with either a friend who lived in town or with the teachers.  The kids weren't able to go home for about 4 days but I know my teacher made the best of it with the kids who went home with her.

Have a great day and be safe with all those crazy drivers!

I know...it's a hoot.  This morning when I took Sarah to the bus, a burst of snow just happened to let loose right as we walked out the door.  I thought it was so funny to see Sarah get so giddy and giggly about the snow.  She was laughing all the way to the bus stop!  She looked at me and fell out laughing..."mommy, you have SNOW IN YOUR HAIR"!!!  We got about a house away from the stop when the neighbor came out to get his coat he left in his truck and just cracked up laughing jus****ching her giggle.  I said, "well, she wouldn't care about this stuff if she had to scoop it a few times"!!!  He shook his head and said, "no kidding"!

Where I grew up in Central Illinois, we lived out in the country so there were a lot of times that school might have been in session, but if the buses couldn't get out to us kids who were out in the rural areas, we just didn't go.  It wasn't counted against us either, but then again, our district had like 15 snow days built into the school schedule and what didn't get used just whittled off days at the end of the school year.  We had MANY times where we ended up with early dismissal for those on buses.  Guess there was a slight advantage in the winter for us bus riders!!!
