My DS is scheduled for 12/16/09

That date cannot come fast enough!  I'm looking to connect with other bariatric patients for support that live close to Lubbock.   

Not many here from Lubbock but those of us that live "in the box" are always just a post away.  Glad to have you join us.

Congrats Steve!  You'll find lots of support here on the board, not sure how many from Lubbock though.  We're a great group, so stick around, read the recurring posts (Daily WLS Express, Nigh****chman, Grateful Post, etc).

I notice I'm not listed in the member list and my surgery date does not show up in upcoming surgeries.  Do I have to join this forum officially somewhere or is it automatic based on my profile information? 

To be honest I haven't used those lists, but I do know that sometimes it takes the OH systems a little while to update on things.  Since you recently created your profile you might want to give it a few days and check again.  If it's still not showing up there is a link for Help at the top and bottom of the page that you can check with.

hiya Steve! Congrats on your sx date. I get to Lubbock quite often as my MIL is there. I had my DS 3yrs ago and I LOVE IT! Drop by and see us on the DS forum ...We'd love to have you join us.
I am just east of Houston but I belong to a great active support group in San Antonio. Heading out in a few for our monthly support/Christmas party. Can't wait to officially welcome you to the Dark Side!!
