Well isn't that full circle?
Lots and lots of good info to share so lets get to the obvious WTF is she thinking stuff out of the way first.
I got a job at Dunkin Donuts as an overnight baker! A lot of post-op people keep making references to what a hard job that would be but really - I'm not concerned. If you've ever spent any amount of time in a bakery the smell starts to get to you after a while and grosses you out. I actually plan on losing weight while working because I'll be more active and get more toned arms (per Danni's assessment - if I don't you're sooooo in trouble Ms. D).
So I've gone from binge eating donuts to making them. Never thought that would happen in my post-op life.
Also, Eric's tumor markers are down considerably again! His hCG is down to 28.6 (from 6623) and his AFP is down to 20.2 (from 199). And these numbers were taken before he completed round two. Normal for both are between 0-10. So he's really close!!! He has two more rounds to go so I'm confident round three will make his tumor markers normal, and the final round will eradicate any active cancer in him. Where we go from there will be based solely on CT scans to see if there are any tumors left over in his lungs (I plan on him still having some). The oncologist said if the cancer still responds to chemo then we aggressively treat with chemo until the cancer doesn't respond any longer. Easier said than done. The unfortunate fact is that complications get worse the further you get into chemotherapy so his neuropathy will likely get worse, and the VeIP they plan on putting him on will tear up his stomach, making him nauseated beyond belief. It'll all be worth it in the end but it sure is hard watching, let alone living through.
Anyway - lots of awesome and great things going on here! I am very excited about finding something overnight because my maternal heart still desires being home with my loved ones, but the need of fiscally providing was becoming more and more paramount. Just wanted to share our awesome news! Thank you all for everything!!!

LMAO! You sure could. Although you may have to watch me through the slats in the metal screen since this one is inside a Super Walmart. Bryan might have to come and bail you out of jail if they think you're loitering around the DD!
I'm honestly just hoping I can get free coffee. That's my real vice now. Screw donuts - give me a latte! Yum!
