Evenin' everyone! BIRRRRRR, it is cooold outside! OMG, cannot believe how cold it is out there today! That rain is not helping matters though. I had to get my little heater out so my tootsies stay warm here at my desk!

Hoping Debra gets to feeling better tonight. No fun AT ALL to be in the ER.

I sure hope George and Mary are enjoying their time away. Vacations are great but such a bummer when it's over!

I'll be checking in from time to time while getting kiddos to bed and stuff ready for tomorrow.

Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:
Tara is scheduled for a revision surgery on 12/3/09.
Vivian will be having her gallbladder removed 12/7.

Gina L. - brother Jerry diagnosed with lung disease and is pending more tests.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house. They have made the move to the metroplex but still need to sell their house.

Jeris asks for prayer as she is a single mom to a 4 year old and is in the working world.

July is going through a divorce, requesting prayers for her and her kiddos. We know a divorce is tough, and can be especially tough financially.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his GF and their kids. They went to court 10/29 to try and get them back from CPS and it's been a real struggle.

Kat (Iwannabethinnow) has a friend with breast cancer.

Lynne asks for prayer for Miranda as she seeks facility to help her son as well as patience for homeschooling in the meantime.

Meggie's mother has breast cancer. She has a large hematoma under it. Her lumpectomy will be on Wed, 11/11. It is stage 1 cancer and they do not believe it has spread yet and don't think they will need to remove any lymph nodes! Radiation therapy will start in 6 weeks everyday for 6-8 weeks!

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers. Her polyps have been diagnosed as "abnormal" but not cancerous. More tests forthcoming.

Vivian requests prayers for the extra stress in her life. Also, she has pending procedures for her abdominal pain.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers. This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there. Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2.

Evening lady. It's cold and rainy in Big D tonight too. I'm not looking forward to going to work at 6:30 in the morning. I went out today and bought some heavy long sleeve t-shirts to wear under my scrubs cuz I freeze all day long. My sweet hubby's had a fire going in the fireplace all nite too. Bless his little heart, he's had a virus of some sort with diarrhea for a week plus he's coughing like he's got an upper respiratory.

Better get ready for work tomorrow. Thanks for starting this each night.

Heather said she was cold in just her scrubs today too! She's my oldest doing the nursing class where she is at the hospital two days a week and assigned a unit each week. She shadows a nurse doing whatever they ask her to do. She's had some good units and some not so good ones. Unfortunately a couple of the nurses she's been assigned to haven't been the friendliest peas in the pod but it's not just her. Apparently a few of the other gals have had the same experience when assigned to those particular units so glad to know it's not just her. She did have an issue a week or so ago...went "lights out" on one of the nurses. The teacher (who is a nurse) called me from the hospital to tell me she was walking out of the OR and dropped like a rock, hitting her head on the door. She was more embarrased than anything else. Nothing bad she watched either so not sure why she passed out. She does have issues with her blood sugar even though she is not officially a diabetic - but will spike blood sugar readings of 200+ in the morning without having eaten a thing! The morning she had the problem, she hadn't eaten anything so her nursing teacher said it could have been something to do with that. Who knows. So, hopefully she'll remember to eat and even if she does and still checks out, well, I'm hoping it is something she can overcome. She's ok with blood, but smells tend to get to her sometimes. I know I've heard they get used to it - I hope so for her sake!!!

Hope Clay is feeling better soon!!! Give him some air kisses as you definitely don't want it!

hey sister,
Im heading to Denver tomorrow, for some R & R and job stuff. Talk about freeze my big booty off! Posta get down to 14 degrees tonite with 80% chance of snow. Uhh cuse me???/ thankfully i will be staying with friends while there and she's the same size as me, shoe and everything or else i would be in a world of trouble!!! Flight leaves out at .... 622am!!! ICK lol. of course this will be the one night i will sleep lol. Taking a few extra days for R & R and back here next tues. Before anyone asks no im not moving to denver lol, job headquarters are in denver, and my friends happen to live there :)
Havent gotten anymore updates from debra, im hoping she's knocked out by now. ramon will prolly text Nina when there is more news!

Well, having lived in that crap before, trust me, once you get all that warm snow "gear" and accessories on, you can't help but look like an even more inflated Michelin Man!!! I can remember as a kid getting all dressed up in the snow pants, snow boots, two or three layers of clothes, socks, etc. Mom used to have a fit putting all these extra clothes on us because she just knew what would happen. We'd get out there for all of 15 min. and want to come in because it was so freakin' cold, or, you get out there and start tredging through that crap, and then it's, "oh, gotta go potty" time! hehehe.... Thankfully it's only clothes so once inside, we look "normal" again!!!

OMG....tooooo cold for me!!! I grew up in that stuff but couldn't hack it now, that's for sure.

Be careful and make sure you take your vits!!! Let me know when you get there and I'll be sure to update tomorrow...

im hereeee!!!! Its cold but beautiful!!! Since ive never seen real snow per se.. im like a kid right now lol. ask me later in the week, not so much im sure lol. We are in denver and you can see the mountains all covered, and its nice and white, unlike the muddy slush we would get so seldom in southeast tx. Luckily, my friend wears same size clothes AND shoes so im covered if i get in a pinch lol. Wish i could have brought the kids, they woulda loved this!!!
