This is NOT a TMB or OH sponsored event. This is a FUN cruise among friends that just happened to have met on this site. This means there are no scheduled events or plans other than I will TRY to get us a group rate for the ship. So you will be responsible for making friends and planning your own activities.
I would really like to have T-shirts made that we can wear the first day so we will be able to recognize each other and hopefully we can meet up before we sail. So put on your thinking caps and come up with a logo and saying for the shirts. It can not involve OH as this is not sponsored by them. Also if you have connections to someone who makes shirts inexpensively, let me know.

I will talk to my honey and get back to you...I am interested but will have to see if his schedule allows him to attend with me. Did you let Kim at OH ([email protected]) know so that she won't plan any OH Texas events during this time? ETA: I have a lady that I deal with who IMO is very reasonable with pricing for shirts etc. If you would liike her info I can get it to you so you can compare pricing.

You're welcome, I love doing stuff like this!! As far as rooms go, I think we will have them spread out because of what type of room each person picks. I know for sure that my hubby and I want either a balcony or an oceanview one. To get the cheapest price, it's an INSIDE cabin. Also some people might put 3-4 people to a room so that would depend on availability of rooms and where they're located. When we've taken a cruise before, we picked our room off a schematic that showed the rooms that were still available. You also want to pick a room in the MIDDLE of the ship cuz there's a LOT less motion and chance for seasickness.
Also those needing or wanting roommates will need to get together and find each other. Same goes for sharing hotel rooms the night before or finding local people to stay with. Bunk up together as much as possible to save on money and carpool to the docks.

I don't think I will be able to go since that is right after school starts and, as a teacher, they kind of frown on classrooms without teachers (lol). However, if you don't already have a travel expert, my sister-in-law has her own travel business out of her home and specializes in cruises. I can get you her info if you would like.

Do we need to go to the .com site and schedule or reserve individually or will this be done as a "group" type thing?
I don't want to wait too late and then can't get on the same ship with you all !!
T-SHIRTS - GREAT IDEA !! LETS GO FOR IT....................
I CAN'T WAIT...........THIS WILL GIVE ME INCENNATIVE TO SAVE $$$ AND TO GET TO MY GOAL OF 150 (ISH) BY THEN. I actually have a "date" to work towards !!
- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.
