Stomach virus?

I woke up at four with a vague sense of uneasiness in my stomach. When I gave up trying to go back to bed, I started sipping water. Within minutes, I was over the toilet fighting the urge to vomit it back up. I suspect a stomach virus because I still feel nauseus. Doctor's office doesn't open until 8:30. Any suggestions as to how to get through this?

I'm sorry you are feeling sick! I wouldn't push the liquids for a while. Maybe snack very slowly on some toast or crackers. Or try hot broth or soup-sometimes hot things settle better for me at least. If you have pepto liquid I've taken that before. Also anti-nausea liquid that I found at Wal-Mart. Hope the doctor can see you soon!

I called and they're phoning in a prescription for phenegran. I'll probably also pick up some liquid anti-nausea stuff in case I throw the pill back up.

It's definitely not a stricture as I haven't had a problem before this morning. I just worry about being dehydrated when even water doesn't want to stay down.

Sorry you are sick, Mel.  Hopefully is is just a minor bug and you are back to your old self soon!

Hot broth will keep you hydrated and sometimes it is easier to keep down than plain water.
