Its going to be a chilly Tuesday! We went to lunch yesterday at Mexican Inn for a co-workers retirement and I swear it was 85 degrees in there! I was sweating! I was so happy to get outside back into the cold!
Okay- toys- I loved my Barbies and all the clothes we had for them. We had this neat carrier too that held the clothes and 1 Barbie. I also really liked my hippity hop-remember those? You can still buy them at Lillian Vernon. I got my neices each one a few years ago and they loved them!
As far as a toy I always wanted but never got- there were 2- I really wanted a Cabbage Patch doll but my parents refused to pay that much for a doll. That was back when they were in high demand. And what I remember wanting SO badly was a Candy mannequin/doll head that you could dye her hair and roll her hair and fix it, etc. Heck I'd probably still play with one now. lol.

I hope everyone has a great day today! Prayers continue for all those in need.

BTW!  James said he would love to have the bed, dresser and entertainment center if you want to get rid of them.  Let me know where and when to get them and we'll come over.  Preferrably on a Saturday.

Sorry Laura-if you'll remember I said it had to be picked up by Thanksgiving because Bryan and his dad did a big project in the garage Sat and Sunday, so it went to Goodwill. The mattress went to a friend across the street since no charities nearby take mattresses.

Good Morning Train!

WOOOOHOOOO for Tuesdays!  I'm still in a bah humbug kind of mood over work, but I'll get over it as soon as I get my disaster recovery testing finished... LOL

Favorite toy?  Hmmmm I guess I'm with you on this one Alissa, it had to be my Barbies and the carrying case was so cool to play with too!  What I wanted and didn't get was an Easy Bake Oven, but after I became a cook and had to sweat over a hot oven all day I got over it! LOL

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

I've got Ozzy stuck in my head this morning, so here's Momma I'm Coming Home.....

Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, but I ain't the same
Mama, I'm coming home
Times gone by seem to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I'm coming home

You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned aroound
By the fire in your eyes

You made me cry, you told me lies
But I can't stand to say goodbye
Mama, I'm coming home
I could be right, I could be wrong
Hurts so bad, it's been so long
Mama, I'm coming home

Selfish love yeah we're both alone
The ride before the fall
But I'm gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all

I've seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we've been apart
I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause Mama, Mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home

You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes

I've seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we've been apart
I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause Mama, Mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home

I'm coming home
I'm coming home

Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Good morning everyone!  It's a chilly Tuesday so bundle up out there!  My favorite toys as a child were of course Barbie Dolls, but I also had this dancing doll that piroetted when you pulled out a part of her crown.  I don't remember her name, but she was about 18 inches tall.  I earned the money for her picking potatoes one fall so she was very special.  I didn't have to pick potatoes, but Mom and Dad thought it would be good to EARN the money.  And believe me, that is not an easy job!

Ya'll have a great day!  Love ya!

Good morning.  My favorite toy as a child was my Kiddles dolls and their house.  I remember waking up one Christmas morning and they were out in the Den near the tree.  My sister got trolls and a troll house and I got the Kiddles.

I have lots of folders to work on today to get ready for meetings tomorrow.  There's always paperwork to do.  After work I go teach my homebound student.

Prayers to Dana going back to work today, Eric and Jenny, Danni, and Gina and Richard and all others who need them.

Have a great Tuesday!

Karla

My favorite toy was also Barbie!  I guess we're all of "the age" when Barbies first came out and were coming so popular. I still have mine-but haven't had them out to play with in a LONG time...maybe I should get them out now and do that. Would take my mind off the stinkin' thinkin' that is clogging the brain cells.

I am hearing VERY disturbing grumblings about this company that I am currently working for and am quite concerned about the future status of my employment.  I don't know if I can handle another layoff in the same year.  My stress levels are through the roof! I didn't sleep much last night and am dreading the next few days.  They laid off my team leader and another TL in TX yesterday, using "a business decision" as the reason for the layoff. The grumbling I'm hearing, is that they are looking to restructure the group I work for!  (Basically to do away with it) The stress is worse this time since this job moved me 1000 miles away from home and I am all alone in Alabama with no one to really hang on to for dear life.  I know I have you guys for support, but I am scared to death!!!  Especially since I just had to throw a bunch of money into my truck for repairs. I don't particularly handle stress well anyway and this one is settling in my shoulder and making it hard to move my neck and shoulder! I just don't know how I am going to handle this one!

Well, enough depressing talk...am off to work!  Have lots to do at work today and it is COLD out!  They are even talking of some very slick overpasses due to icy fog, so I am leaving early and will take roads with few of them! Keep me in your thoughts during the next few days, if you will!

Hugs, Mari

HUGS Mary.  I completely understand.  I just missed the 12th layoff in my company since 2000.  It is beyond stressful.  That word is just so not enough to describe the feeling.  Honey take care of you and when you walk out that door every day make sure you get some relief.  Is there a date that you expect them to be done?
