Merry Monday WLS Express

When I start the train I'm going to try to come up with a Christmasy word to get us started. Maybe it will get everyone more in the mood for Christmas. Hop on board, find some sugar free apple cider or hot chocolate and sit close to each other because its COLD!

GOOD MORNING! Its a chilly morning I'm sure. It was pretty cold waiting to get on The Polar Express. It was okay- something neat to do. It was a bit dissapointing because the train ride is only 30 minutes and its just singing songs and then Santa comes to visit. The kids all loved it-esp the 8 and under crowd. They have a 30 minute show before the train ride that you go to-more singing. Then on the train. However I loved walking around downtown Grapevine visiting the shops and it was just really pretty.
Its back to work we go! However in just 18 days we'll be leaving for PA so I'm excited and the time will fly by I know. We are driving to my parents house near Philadelphia.

Our house is all decorated, inside and out. Its a snowman wonderland! I love snowmen. The bathroom in the hall has a snowman shower curtain with snowflake hooks, a snowman bath mat, a snowmen soap dispenser and snowman kleenex box I found at Wal-Mart yesterday. The shelves are full of stuff too. My village is set up as well. It was alot of fun to get everything done.

I hope everyone has a great day today. Prayers for David and his family during this difficult time. Prayers for healing continue for Eric and Gaye. Karen-how are you feeling now? I hope better.

Good Morning

I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I know I did.  I enjoyed family and friends.  I rested and was going to Winstar on Sat but hubby wanted to go to Muenster instead.  A friend told him about it and he changed his mind on the way to Winstar.  I of course grew up going there.  We enjoyed some good German food.

I am happy that everyone is alright with the date change of the party.  Also for our Special Projects.  Again this is just volunteer.  We will have a place set up for this.

I am feeling good.  Going today for a follow up with the Cardiologest.  I am also going to get another B12 shot. 

Thank you Stephanie for putting together the cruise now if all the stars fall into place we will be sailing with all of the wonderful people in September.  I hope Richard, Dana and Eric are feeling better.  Prayer for Tim and all the troops.

Hope everyone had a nice long weekend and was blessed in all they did.  I have been hoping today would not get here so quickly but it has.  Mom and Dad wil be leaving this morning and then my house will have to try and go back to normal.  We have had a wonderful visit.  Not much on the agenda for today.  Once Mom and Dad leave I think I will just kick back for a little bit.  Maybe do some online shopping after all it is Cyber Monday!  Need to get Christmas cards going too but will wait and do it once the house is totally quiet.   Eric has today off and Mark plans to finish putting his stereo in his car.  Hope to decorate a little over the next week too.  Not much else.  Will be looking forward to seeing Jon again in a couple of weeks for Christmas.  Prayers this morning for our trainman David as they morn the loss of his Dad, For Eric and Jenny, for Viv, Gay and Gina's Richard.  Prayers also for all those unspoken.  Please keep my Mom and Dad in prayer as they travel today.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys

Today is all day long disaster recovery testing at work and since they laid off my co-worker last month I get to do my system and his.... ARGHHHHHH!!!!  At least I had a great long nice holiday weekend before hand.... LOL

Wow, Monday after a 4 day weekend.  Had a fight with Dad on Thanksgiving, but that's normal.  Typical stuff.  But I got an iPhone this weekend!!  Wow, I'm psyched!  I'm loving it!  I'm already hooked!!  Now Therese wants one! LOL!  She can't up grade until Dec 12th, so the phone will have to wait, but I got her on my plan so she now has unlimited texting, which she didn't have before.

It's interesting listening to the sounds of the early morning.  I just heard revele (spelled right?) at the base.  The speakers are loud so we can hear that and the good night horn playing at 10 PM telling all the good little soldiers to go to bed.  Just now I heard a train and I don't think there are any tracks closer than 2 or 3 miles from here! 

I am now a Disabled Veteran!  I got 10% for my hearing.  Not much, but it's a start!!  I have an appt Wed at Mental Health to try to get help for the PTSD.  I'll let you know how it goes!!  I'm ready to talk to someone that understands and knows what to do to help me with this!

Good morning.  Back to reality and work this morning.  I have a working meeting this morning, then on to folders this evening.  I have ARD meetings all day Wed. that I need to get ready for.  Ben leaves for Aggieland in a few minutes.  It's 51 here right now, but I love cold weather.  It won't bother me if the temperature keeps dropping!

Hey You Guys!

Mom and dad are still here from TN. My brother leaves today. We've had nine people in our house all week.

Thanksgiving was great. Shopping on Friday was even better. Poor Dirk had never done Black Friday before. He asked if he could go with me and see what all the fuss was about. He accidentally left his phone on the bathroom counter, so it took him about an hour to find me in Target. We got most of our shopping done, but I think I will probably be the lone shopper next year. He said that he had never seen so many crazy people. All in all I thought that everyone was pretty well behaved but I'm usually the cause of the chaos to begin with so maybe it's just my perspective...hehe. 

We went to east Texas on Saturday and bought our tree. We finally set it up last night. Somehow the $50 tree stand that I bought last year is a "piece". (and I'm not speaking "art" here either!) It wouldn't hold the tree up! The tree is in a corner so we tied a wire around the center and tied the wire to the wall. (you might be a redneck if you've ever tied your Christmas tree to the wall) And NO- it was NOT bailing wire!!! The girls were pretty adamant about having their angel from previous years put on top of the tree, but the base of it wouldn't hold her up, so now we have my Tinkerbell tree topper up there. Tonite I will put the train and the monorail around the tree and all will be "right" in my world. lol I'm still in search of my annual Tigger ornmament to complete the tradition.

I'm here - working hard to be positive -holding tight to the fact that in 17 days I get to go to my brothers house for the holidays - not alot of decorations going up here - couple of nativitys, a new seasonal flag that has a manger and peace on it and my door hanging  - oh and I got a ponsetta

adding to my normal crazyness - K has bball try outs tomorrow wed teen starts marital arts and Rach and I start a mommy and me tumbling class  - think if I keep adding stuff I will figure out how to sleep at night agian? oh and tomorrow I start wieght lifting agian  tues/thurs mornings
