TMB Carnival Cruise in September???

Thanks to Jodie and Terry and their cruises, my hubby and I have decided we want to take another cruise and thought we'd see who else wants to go.  From doing some research we decided that September would be a good month.  The prices are low cuz kids are back in school.  It looks like we could get one for about $350 per person for a 5 day out of Galveston.  If summer would work better, it would cost about $500 per person.  Depending on how many we had going, we might qualify for a group rate.  If this happens, I claim Terry's house for Clay and I, lol so we can park for free.

The reason I bring this up now, is it would give everyone almost a year to save the money.  So if you're interested please post here and tell me which month you'd rather go in.  I'm also open to other suggestions too.

*EDIT*  Points to think about...INCOME TAX REFUND...what a better way to spend it.  I believe Carnival takes payments too. 

Passports are required and take a long time to get.  If you don't have one, that will be another expense.  I might ask for mine as a Christmas present.

Tim won't be back so I might just do it if I can get grandpa to come kid sit - even if it's a family type one I don't want to pull the boys out of school(not to mention pay for 4 peeps) - will do that when Tim gets home :)

Good point... CARPOOL?  If we carpool we would only have to pay for one car, not several.  Or maybe we could hire a friend of yours to drive us.  Clay and I would love to sleep on your floor or couch or whatever the night before too.
