Prayers for my family....

I received this email today from one of my cousins....so will be headed to Corpus next weekend.....just sad...my last uncle or living relative on my dads - moms side....sad day...but we are going to celebrate his life with him...he had no children him and my aunt were always foster parents and only kept one daughter who we know as my cousin Cathy.....they fostered 100's of kids through the years.... too bad we didnt have facebook back in the day we could have kept in touch with all the kdis they fostered....thanks again....going to be tough seeing him.....


My mom has asked me to email you all and let you know that she received a call from Cathy, Uncle Ernie's daughter. Uncle Ernie has been diagnosed with Leukemia. He is too far along that any treatment now will not save him. He has also decided that he wants no treatment. He says that he will be 87 years old and if the lord wants him then he is ready. The doctors do not give him very much time left, they say that it is day to day. So Uncle Ernie has requested that for his birthday this year he would like to be able to see his family for one last time before he passes away. He has requested to have a living mass for himself at the Cathedral in Corpus. and afterwards there will be a dinner/celebration of his life. The food is going to be catered by Mario Bernal. The date is Dec. 5th 2009 which is his 87th birthday. at 11 A.M. He is currently residing in the Dallas area with Cathy and her family. I know that a few of you live in that area and may not be able to get to Corpus on such short notice. My mom believes that it would please Uncle Ernie very much if you could possibly visit him there. Cathy has given her phone number for more info. Home:   ********.  My mom does not have everyones phone numbers to contact other relatives so she asks that you pass on this information to other relatives no matter how distant. She would like to remind you that he is our last link to Mom and your Buela and the day that he passes it will be a very sad day. She sends her love and thanks you for all of your help.

I'm sorry that you'll be going through yet another rough time in your life..............

thank you we are going to make the best of the time we have with him and  his family...my cousisn are are all excited cause we dont see each other that often...
