Good Morning OH Family!
I'm up drinking my cup of coffee. Had a very busy night at work last night. I bet tonight will be even busier. I will find out Monday what days I will work with my new position. I do know my hours will be 10:30pm-6:30am. I wanted to work 3rd shift so I could start going back to our support groups etc. Planning on meeting our Steph this morning while she is in the area. Well I better get going. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Did black friday shopping for hours. Pain and all - I did come home and rest two times before going back out. I got some stuff - Still have a bit more to do, but they say the sale will just keep building. I hope so.
Today is football. Everman is playing BIg Springs in Mineral wells, I really do hope we win. I will get to see one of my favorite people, as Richard is plaaning on going with us. Gina--she is not all that into football if her baby is not playing. My hubby has been at the deer lease since THursday afternoon. No deer siteing - Just being one with nature.

this is my last day of Thanksgiving vacation - yeah, not a good thing,but I need the job, so I"ll be there tomorrow.
Everyone is up and starting to move about here. Daddy is feeding the cows and Mom is out walking with Madeline. I am trying to conquer my sinus headache, which is now daily this year. Don't like the meds, but I'm gonna take it. Yesterday it kept me in jammies all day (well, that and no obligations, lol). Emm is getting up and ready to take her driving lesson.
We will head back to NB after lunch. Emm is hosting a scavenger hunt at the babysitting event at church tonight. Gives me a chance to get my grocery shopping done and be ready for my 6 day work week next week). I start my later schedule as well, so I will be coming home almost in the dark. That will take a bit of adjusting, but I get to have a slower morning.
Have no real plans for shopping, but I think I will hit up some stores online and just have stuff shipped to Shiner like I did last year; especially with the move. I promised Emm we would have our tree and decorations up this year since we had nothing last year. I was pretty depressed last year. ANYWAY, Dad will bring up my tree the weekend of the move and we will at least have that up in the condo.
Looks like many are off and running already this morning. Prayers for safe travels, especially Jodie and the KING, Jenn and Mikey too. Safe travels home for Annette and Matt. Healing prayers for Richard and Eric and all those in need.

NO way! I would quit my job and be homeless before that would happen. It was either today and tomorrow OR one or the other. I chose tomorrow just to have a longer vacation here in Shiner.
We have to do some kind of 'validating' of the information for the new software before we 'go live' on Monday morning. They decided to mandate us working this weekend because we all got 'holiday pay' for Thursday and Friday and that way we don't qualify for overtime this weekend. Really screwed us. But we are to smile and be excited. I have not a clue what i"m doing and that's the part that upsets me. I knew my job and did it very well; so now they have to jack it up and change it. And they have added back jobs that I 'graduated' from for the sake of 'teamwork'. I call BS. But if I find a different job, I start over with all my vacation and sick time, etc. and come January, I will earn another week of vacation time. THEY know that and that's why they do it.
Now let me REqualify,.. IF I had to work every Sunday to feed my family I would certainly do it. There is just no need at this company as they aren't even open on Sundays.

My sister's company had them come in on a Sunday recently too - same reason....new software that they had to check and verify before it went "live" Monday morning. She actually didn't get any extra pay for doing it, but, did get a lot of extra crap done and off her desk. Also, when the boss sees people coming in without being paid, of course that helps when she wants to take a couple hours of PT and the boss just says, "go ahead and go but don't dock yourself for the time"! Kind of like that "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" kind of thing...
