Please Pray!

Well, where do I start.... Sorry if I ramble on.... Just have to get this off of my chest.  Tueday morning, I was posting about how thankful I am for my husband... Tuesday night, he threw my head into a wall.  I went to the ER yesterday because I noticed dried blood coming out of my right ear.  They said that I was "ok."  I hurt so bad that I can barely move.  I may not have a concussion or broken bones... but I am NOT okay.  I have been with this man for 6 years.  I knew that we were having our problems, and he was unhappy, but I NEVER thought he could do something like that to me.
Now, here it is Thanksgiving... and I am here all alone.  He took the kids to Thanksgiving with his family.  (It was already planned and I was supposed to go.)  My things that I am thankful for went from my husband being my backbone to I am thankful that I am alive.  For those of you that are sitting there wondering if I am still with him, the answer is NO.  He said that he would leave.  (After all, I am the one that pays the bills here.)  When I asked him when, he said in two weeks.  That means I am off to my parents house until then.  They are out of town for Thanksgiving, so I am just here living on the computer today trying to keep my sanity.
For those of you who have a family to celebrate Thanksgiving with.... Don't take it for granted... Let them know that you are thankful for them.

Kim I'm so sorry to hear this.  I'm so glad you're safe.  PLEASE make sure you continue to be safe and get medical attention at the first sign that something isn't right.  I pray your children are safe as well.

Thank you.  My children have never been in danger.  He has been a good dad for 15 years.  He just couldn't control me, so he thought he would try bashing me into the wall and choking me to do it.  It didn't work.  He doesn't beat on kids.... just grown women.  Thanks for the prayers.

I don't know what to say except that you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Try to take care of yourself during this time, especially since you are still on the mend from your surgery.

Thank you very much, but I am going to my mother's house.  She is out of town, so I will be there by myself... but I am still going.  I am not staying here.  I do not feel that I am in harms way (after all, abusers usually say how sorry that they are after they beat you), but I have no desire to be around him.  My feelings for him were smashed when my head hit the wall.  Yes, I am sad, but I have no desire to be with someone that doesn't love and respect me.

Kim, I'm so sorry - had I seen this I would have invited you to Thanksgiving lunch... It might have seemed strange, but trust me my family is odd enough to keep you entertained.

I'm so sorry!!!    But, you stay strong and get yourself and the kids taken care of.

((((Kim))) I am so sorry to hear this.  You are doing the right thing by leaving, if he does it once and you allow it to happen then it'll be easier for him to become angry again do it to again.

Praying for you during this time.
