I went to Tyler for my Pre-op

I saw what 5 am looks like.....

I got to see Dr. Babineau again, i think hes gotten taller....lol
We discussed the hernias and revision, it will definately be an open surgery....

I saw Cathy Wade his NP, she said I will likely go home on Lovenox shots....to prevent blood clots....My hubby gives me B12 shots so he can do the Lovenox too...im gonna make a nurse outta him yet...

I then went and paid my co-pays to the hospital and got blood work done....

We have decided to just drive down at 3 am the morning of the surgery....my DH is gonna sleep in his recliner, because he does that so well....I prolly wont sleep.

Oh and I stopped in Pittsburg and met an OHer.....finally got to met someone from the boards...I met Jemof3, its like ive known her all my life... she was so kind and so insiteful....she had lots of good info to share....she is very sweet if you ever get a chance to meet her you definately should....

Im looking forward to meeting all of you someday.....

 Tara....do you live in E. Texas???  Not sure where Pittsburg or New Boston are.    Good luck to you.....I know that you have to be so excited to get rid of the hernia and get your revision.   You will do great !!!!

I know exactly where New Boston is...darn cop decided I owed your town a little money....my first speeding ticket in 10 years.

If you want to meet a few others, there's a little BBQ in July at my place.  Just had 60 or so last year.

Bummer that it has to be an open surgery but regardless, it will be worth it.  Refresh my memory...when's your big day?

I have been telling myself all along that its gonna be open, so im not terribly disappointed, ive had about 5 surgeries and only one my tubal was lap...it was a pc of cake....

i think im all ready to go.... i know my mind is all ready to be home.....

The realness has set in for you Tara.  I'll remember "your day" it's the day after my son's birthday.  One week and you'll be a loser.

TARA-New Boston is not that far... and some of us have been known to make road trips...just warning you...I remember how I excited I was when I paid my hospital co-pay and got a "Patient Number". It made it all so REAL. That has been nearly 8 years ago, but I remember the excitement like it was yesterday. I am VERY excited for YOU!!!
