you gotta mix it with something... plain is gross... bu I add in some sf french vanilla or raspberry syrup and/or some TVP (textured vegetable protein) for extra protein.....

also it's great to use instead of sour cream in almost any recipe.....

BTW, congrats on the upcoming surgery!

Karen is right, I would never eat it plain, but you can do so many things with it. I add some of the Crystal Light powder or SF syrups to it. Or you can add dried ranch dressing mix to it and use it as a veggie dip.

Right now I have some in a canteloupe half that I mixed with raspberry lemonade crystal light powder. Yum!

But yeah, just plain is nasty!

I agree, alone I thought I had a big glob of Sour Cream in my mouth, lol.  I like sour cream, just not alone.

I did like it with cinnamon and Splenda.  However, I still prefer the Kroger Carb Control MUCH better.  The Vanilla is devine with fruit or cereal (just a teaspoon).

The only reason I'd buy the greek yogurt again would be to cook with it.

I'm with Terry on this one, but believe me, Fage is much much better than Oikos.....but still it's not quite yummy plain.  I did mix some with raspberry sf syrup but I like fresh fruit much better....

The best is the Fage "Total" full fat.  It is decadently rich and creamy, a VERY credible sour cream substitute, and requires the least additions to become delicious.  (I may be in the minority on this, but I don't really worry about fat in my post-op diet.  I just stay away from the simple starches and sugars, load up on the protein, and I've been fine.)

Cynthia I don'****ch fat real close either.  I'm sure not eating FF cheese, yuck and it's a staple in my house.

Since I am still far from goal, I watch (to avoid) all the fat I can....they also have 2% if you prefer in between....still yummy whatever way you go Tara!

Wow Tara!  I just saw them make creamed spinach on channel 5 news with 2% Fage yogurt. :)
They made mashed potatoes, half cauliflower and half potatoes......baked apple pie, using just apple halves, cinnamon, honey raisin and nuts on it...looked really good!
