Manic Monday WLS Express

Just another Manic Monday-wi**** was Sunday..... good morning! All Aboard! Have you made your Monday less manic by planning ahead? Meals? Vitamins? Snacks? How do you prepare for the week- especially a holiday week?

Good morning! I am the only one in this house that has to go to work today, however Bryan has a work-filled day of things to do around the house. Today I believe we will finally be getting lighting near the garage door/coat closet, which will be nice because Chris and I have the same black sweatshirt type jacket- a few sizes difference of course- and I keep pulling out the wrong one! I'm almost ready to buy me a new color or put a pink bow on my hood!
We had so much fun last night. Phyllis was MY hero-pushing me along the way, looking at the pretty lights. Chris pushed me some of the way and let me tell you he's not ready to drive, lol. But it was great fun. We weren't in it to win it, just have some fun and we did. I walked the last 1/4 of a mile or so which was good and not too much for this old foot. Chris was really tired when we finished and he'd had a late night the night before, so we passed on dinner after. I was tired too!
Unfortunately I didn't get to sleep much- had a bad sinus headache after being outside so I slept on the couch on a ton of pillows because I couldn't lay flat. I woke up at 1am and have basically been up since. My head hurt worse when I woke up but its better now.

I'm just so darn proud of Bryan and his running his first 5K- woo hoo!!!

I need to go put out the meds for Chris and I for the week-vitamins included. We desperately need groceries so we can plan our weeks food-will do that later today.

I love the new avie Alissa!  I am happy that I have a short work week with just today and tomorrow working 12 hours each day.  I plan to get as much work done as possible and enjoy my vacation and holiday time off.  Have a beautiful day.

I had a great weekend, went shopping with the drama queen son and got his pics of the kids developed for him to make picture books for each of them for Christmas.... it was a pain getting it done, but they turned out great!  I spent yesterday at my daughter's helping her clean out her junk on her side of the bed so the bassinet would fit.... it was fun, but the sausage queso didn't sit well with grouchy pouchy so I went home and laid down on the couch till I felt better.... then I went to bed... LOL

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

Good morning everyone!  I'm up and at em!  I slept most all of yesterday.  Seems like a waste of time, but I must have needed it because I also slept all night!  I feel better for it tho.  Except I didn't get my room cleaned the way I wanted to.  Oh well.  I'll live with it for a while.

I have an appt with Mental Health at the VA Dec 2nd.  Hopefully, I can get things moving and get some help.  I've disovered that I don't handle things as well as I thought I did.  I've been working on it, but I don't like having a short temper or crying alot.  Not fun!!

Well, guess I'd better get going.  Need to get in the shower and get to work.  I gave up the bid to Downtown Station. I really didn't want to have to be at work at 4 am.  Plus learning the scheme was killing me.  Maybe I'll get the River Oaks bid.  Or there was a new one for the Time and Attendance office.  Prayers are needed that I can get that one!

Karen we LOVE those pic books - you can also do them from home for cvs.com or walmart .com and then just pick them up there and pay for them - this seemed like the best idea to me till I relized that ment I had to sit still at home that long LOL

We actually just printed the 4X6 pics and then bought photo albums ($5 at Wal-mart, but boy do you have to hunt to find them!) that hold them AND have a space next to each pic for Mom and Dad to write things....  that way they could add messages to the books too.....

the ones we made at CVS we were able to have stuff printed on each page - never thought to find ones that  I could write in duh

Good morning! Whew..what a weekend--as the saying goes I've got to get back to WORK to get some REST...Friday night Corbin and I were invited as "guests" at the daycare he went to, and I worked for 4 many years-we wound up pitching in, moving tabkes in the rain, serving food, etc...Saturday was Six Flags, the pot luck at JON & LORALEA's...yesterday was laundry/cleaning/groceries/etc, and then had the Prairie Lights 5K last night, followed by dinner, with some of the best FAMILY in the world...Whew...My legs did NOT want to move this morning!!

If I haven't said it lately, I am SO honored and proud to be part of a FAMILY who "gets" me, KNOWS me, and LOVES and ACCEPTS me IN SPITE of it!! I happen to LOVE my CLIQUE of GOONS. I know I have a very limited filter between my brain and my mouth...and it gets thinner, the older I get...but y'all GET that...and you KNOW I never say stuff with the intention of HURTING...well...not to Y'ALL anyway...I get accused of not being "supportive" enough. I can live with that. My "computer time" is limited, and I'm plenty old enough to decide which posts I want to respond to, which  whiney stories I don't need to read for the millionth time, etc. It's all about choices, and we all have them. It hurts when you bang your head against the wall?? Ummmm...stop banging?? Oops...there goes my lack of filter again...

No big plans other than work, walking and "Dancing With the Stars" tonight. I don't even care who wins-as long as it's Donny or Kelly. I worked extra hard last week, at work, to "get ahead", so. hopefully, this week wo't be too frantic...but you never know in the Medicare/nursing home world-ANYTHING can happen-and usually does!!

gina I have to agree with you - even this far away I miss my "family" there a lot but I feel pretty loved on here and on FB and with texts and phone calls
