Good evening all.  It's the start of another work week.  I have just 3 more work nights before vacation.  I will be off Wednesday night.

My son went to the Cowboys game today.  It was an ugly game.  But an ugly win is better than a pretty loss.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hello,

Not much going on.  I am in count down mode for our vacation in December.  As of today we have 26 days.  I am so excited!

My neice looks like she is wanting to make an appearance early.   My sister and her hubby went to the Hospital this morning at 1:30 because she hadn't felt the baby for 5 days.  She was having contractions 5 minutes apart but wasn't even feeling them.  So they sent her home instead of staying at the hospital and she went back around 7:30.  I wont hear nothing until tomorrow.

Hey there George...
Rough day today!  I had to cook for the youth group tonight so needed to get my roasting pan down.  I thought the 6 qt. one would be enough but once looking inside the cook well, decided to use my big 12 qt. one instead.  Welllll, it's up on a shelf above my washing machines.  Paul was watching football and the girls were all in different rooms so just figured I could pull it down without any problems.  I actually DID get it off the shelf with no problem, but then the dadgum lid slid so I grabbed IT, while the rest of the roasting pan slammed corner first into my left shoulder.  OMG I absolutely thought I was going to be sick from the instant throbbing pain it caused.  Paul came running in there as he just knew that crashing down noise wasn't good.  Of course he was not happy with me for not just asking him to do it.  I know he would have, but not right then and I needed to get started on heating the food so needless to say, I have a major OUCH on my darn shoulder.  I'm actually surprised it is not already purple.  My dad's comment..."just wait, you'll be a rainbow in no time"!  I also decided to make the kids something fun for dessert, so Saturday night I had baked up both vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, then iced them to look like turkeys.  They are so cute!  I used candy corn for the tail feathers, then those Keebler "Right Bites" (equiv. to the 100 cal packs) Pecan Sandies for the head and wings, a dot of icing for the eyes, and a sliver of strawberry fruit rollup for the "wiggly gobble gobble thingy" (as Sarah called it)!  They were sooooo cute, and, so easy to do so Sarah helped me do them.  She had SO much fun making them!!!  They were definitely a hit with the big kids, too!

Well, need to go find some hand lotion.  For WHATEVER reason, my hands feel like sandpaper.  I think it's a "tis the season" thing for me.  When I have to turn on the heat, my hands dry out SO much!!!

Don't work too hard!!!

Been an easy night so far.  I am glad.  Don't want no rough nights before vacation.

I cooked a turkey for church today.  Came out real good.  Used my 18 quart roaster for the first time.  Why didn't I get one before this?  Cooked easy and did not heat up the kitchen.  Geez.  Gonna use it again Thursday morning.  Mary will be using the oven for pies.  Gonna work out just fine.
