Get some sleep woman!!  You're in great hands, Dr Barker is the best.  Looking forward to seeing "less" of you.

Loren - I'm sorry I missed your post in time to reply before your surgery.  I'm sure you won't read this til a day or two after you get home.  I know I haven't been on my computer til now.  I'm sure you will also find that the pain goes away rapidly as you get rid of the excess gas and fluids.  Walking does help.  I only walked about 15 ft on my first foray, but before long, I was walking all the way around the nurses' station and down an adjacent hallway.  I came home wed., but just that wore me out.  Same for going in to get my drain removed on friday, though I did manage two short walks after my nap.  We're saving a space for you on the bench.  I haven't posted a loss yet, not sure how soon that starts, but I know it will come.
