Hi new Member from Austin, TX
Hi, my name is Kim and I am a new member to this site. I am looking into WLS when I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I already have other problems such as high blood pressure and thyroid problems. I am 41 years old and take more medication than my mother does. Any information or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kim

Hi Kim;
I also had my RNY with Southwest Bariatrics, but with Dr. Nancy Marquez. Check into one of their seminars. I'm very pleased with the last four years of my life and would highly recommend Dr. Marquez; Jerry, the SWB nutritionist; and Linda, the bariatric surgical nurse at Seton Hospital.

Hi everyone! My name is Gloria and I too am from the Austin area. I'm scheduled for my RNY with Dr. Nancy Marquez of Southwest Bariatrics on December 15th. I have followed postings on this board for quite some time and appreciate the knowledge and tips I have gained. I have spent most of my adult life overweight and look forward to new beginnings. I am a nurse and am well aware of the long term health implications of my weight and even though Dr. Marquez calls me a "lightweight" at 232 lbs., I'm ready to end my struggles once and for all. I look forward to continued learning and sharing with everyone on this site. You all are the BEST!!
