Good evening all.  A nice cool day.

Found out some possible reasons for the suicide.  Terrible news.  But, we have to lift up our heads and carry on.  I pray for his family that was left behind.

Not much new in my world.  Just counting down to vacation.

Thank you for the responses last night.  I appreciate it a bunch.  But now I do have a small problem.  I will be away from a computer from Friday, November 27th until Thursday, December 3rd.  I will be getting back on the computer on December 4th.  I hope someone can keep it going while I am gone. I will be in serious withdrawal, plus have a lot of email to catch up on and a lot of threads on three discussion boards (2 OH).

Lets move on.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hi George,

All appears well here in Mesquite tonight.

I wish I could volunteer to fill in for you, but we'll be on vacation at the same time you and Mary are enjoying Branson.

Maybe Jill will wear your hat, she's the best at posting every night.  I'd suggest Jenn but I think she's still a bit busy unpacking and settling in - oh wait, they're going to be in the Carribean too!

Hopefully someone will do it.   Worst case, I guess they can continue to post on the last NW thread I do before I go on vacation.  Something will work out, I am sure.

The last time I went on vacation, Sara did it for me.  Ain't seen her in ages.

I read this thread everynight and its one thing I look at in the morning time....so maybe it's time for me start posting.

Not many know much about me...So i will post a bit and then started responding nightly.

I am 28 years old and will be 29 in 10 Days.  I have been married for 11 years going on 12 in June. I grew up in a small town outside of Dodge City Kansas and all my family is still up there around the Garden City/Dodge City area.  We try to go back once a year (13 hour trip) but that's hard in itself.  We get to Centerville and ask ourselves what the heck we are doing.  It's such a long drive but we do enjoying going back and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the large city.  You may ask youself a question...Why don't they fly in?  Well that is because we would have an extra expense of renting a car since the nearest airport is 4-6 hours away.

We have no children but I do have a husky named Koy who is my child.  He is the biggest baby you will find and I think he loves life like I do.  Always happy go lucky and constantly making noise (howling, barking at his food, talking to his toys).  He has an attitude and once in while when i make a noise such as stretching, I realize he does the same thing and when I am tired and grouchy, i will grump under my breath and he does the same thing.

My hobbies include playing poker, softball, rollerblading, traveling, friends, and family.   I also dress up for the Shriners Circus yearly as a clown and enjoy the heck out of that.

I currently work at a major Engineering Firm in Houston as a Security Coordinator and love my job.  I am however looking at going back to school so we have the financial opportunity to travel when we want and travel to places that we would love to see without jepordizing seeing our family since we save for one big trip a year.

Well that is all.

Have a great evening.

Marti

Thank you so much for posting.  I see you are 5 years out.  Wow!  Can't wait 'til I get there.  I will be 2 years out next month.

I hate flying for vacation myself.  I have to have wheels available.  My one exception is Vegas.  You do not need a car there.  The best public transportation I have ever seen.

You are so right about vacation.

Yes I am 5 years out and have gained weight back.  I have two possible suspects in this weight gain...1) I use to work in a warehouse where i was on my feet constantly and now i sit on my butt 2) The wrong type of food is calling my name

Well, it looks like you have narrowed the suspects down.  Now, number one you can't do anything about your job, but you can exercise (I will be honest, I don't).  But, number two you can do something about.  Hold yourself accountable.  Maybe join the nutrition thread, where they hold themselves accountable to each other.  It works.

I understand.  Don't sweat it.  Something will work out.  And if not, I guess I can just start from scratch when I get back.  That may not be a bad idea.
