The Venti sized double insulated cup is 20 oz.  The Grande sized one is 16 oz.  They do give a dime off if you bring in your cup each time.  Personally, I think they are a bit "el-cheapo" with that.  If you take the time to bring in a cup, they should give you at least a quarter off!!!

Hey there Mari....
I have four of those Venti double insulated cups and do to a breakage that wasn't my fault.......I now have three.  I get the black shaken tea and that is it.  Now, the double insulated Venti sized cup is 20 oz. but THEIR plastic cup is 22 oz., (I think with the cup being double insulated, it shortens the cup by those 2 oz.) soooo, when I get tea, I always tell them to use the GRANDE scoop of ice because if not, when they pour it in, of course all the ice gets chucked in there first which leaves about 1-2 inches worth of straight tea in their shaker cup that they end up tossing!!!  I just tell them use the smaller scoop because in doing so, it pretty much ALL fits in.  Just kills me to have them throw out tea just because they ran out of room!!!

It amazes me that a customer has to tell them that.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

There are four SBUX that are my usual places to hit, two of them moreso than the others.  At the one near the high school where I go to all the time, I really don't have to say too much.  If it one of the long-termers, they just look at the monitor to see who has pulled up and for them, as soon as they see me, they are like, "oh, hey Jill - how many today".  They know how I like it and unless a newbie is doing it, it is usually perfect.  If not, they get it back and I make them do it again.  I don't want to see through it - they know to put in more tea than water and I don't want a boat load of ice in there, either.
