San Antonio Surgeons
I'm trying to gather some information for myself. We're a military family, but have the options with our insurance to see civilian surgeons.
Currently, we are stationed in Florida, and I am rather attached to my surgeon, but my husband is putting in for a special duty assignment at Lackland AFB. I am NOT opposed to using the MTF, but I have heard very negative reviews of the bariatric program at Lackland.
I had a lot of complications with my revision from band to sleeve, and I am not willing to settle with just any surgeon.
Anyone with suggestions on a phenomenal bariatric surgeon who has experience with the sleeve, and revisions would be greatly appreciated. I am not a needy patient, but I have exceptionally high standards in the quality of care I receive. I do have to have labs pulled more frequently, and have to be monitored more closely than some sleeve patients because of the complications.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.

Dr. Frank Duperier. I am not sure about his sleeve or revision experience, but he is EXCELLENT! "Dr. D" shares a clinic with Dr. Michael Seger. Bariatric Medical Institute of Texas. Check out the website www.bmioftexas.com. Hope this info is helpful.
Thank you for the referral. I called and unfortunately they do not accept our insurance at all.
I'm probably going to have to switch from Tricare Prime (HMO) to the Tricare Standard (PPO), and see a surgeon in the Dallas or Houston area.
So far, I haven't found any San Antonio surgeons that will do follow up for a revision patient.
