I had my band of 3 yrs removed and was sleeved on 10/24. It was easier than the band but was worth it. I also had a hernia from the band. I'm sure that made my rehab a little more painful too. Good luck to you!

Hi Amanda,
I'm not a revision (virgin sleeve here), but I just wanted to say I looked at your doc's picture . No kidding about the Dr. Delicious!
As far as going back to teaching (I am a computer tech at an elementary school), I think it is do-able. Depending on what grade you teach. Seems like Kinder would be tougher than say, high school, but that's just my opinion! I went back after 3 weeks. I could have gone back sooner, but I tired easy and I had the time, so I just took it.
Good luck to you!
Brooke
P.S. Get ready for skinny!

I am also a teacher. I had RNY. I had it done 2 weeks before I had to start school. Like others have said I didn't have any trouble going back to school I just noticed I got tired alot easier at first. Just remember to keep plenty of fluids around so that you don't get dehydrated. I know as a teacher we sometimes forget to drink. Now after 2 years water is on my desk at all times.
