Hey Tracey...HIJACK...do you by chance have a copy of the Praxxis study book..Advanced Review in Speech Language Pathology" that you might want to sell? Hailey's looking for one and I thought of you. She said a lot of people keep their's for reference but I thought I'd ask.

I do have it... and it was an excellent study guide. I use it for reference and don't plan on selling it- but she is welcome to borrow it. I also used a program online that had some of the exact questions that were on the test. It was really good for finding my speed and accuracy at taking the Praxis. I felt more comfortable during the test because of the online tests. Between the online tests and the book I scored something like a 1000-1100 and I only needed like a 700 to pass. (I hope I gave you the right numbers...I always get my GRE and Praxis scores mixed up)
BTW- the test was the worst thing I have ever had to do academically. I left the room in tears and went to the bathroom and threw up. Don't be surprised if she calls you balling.... Remind her that just filling out her name properly is worth 200 points, and questions are weighted differently so just because there were things on the test that she'd never heard of before doesn't mean that that question even really counted....

Thanks for the book review. I'm glad to know it was worth the investment. I'll keep looking online for a used copy in good condition since we still have another 18 months before graduation. Did you use the CD that came with it? Do you remember the name of the online program you used? Thanks for your help.

I used the CD a bunch. I don't remember the name of the online program but I can ask my previous professors about it.
It is definitely worth the investment.

Good morning. I have truckloads of paperwork as usual to do at work today. I scheduled all my Dec. and Jan. ARD meetings needed yesterday and it took all day. I have notices to do and folders to work on for other meetings coming up, plus a big pile to process. It's never ending!

I have to start teaching a girl on homebound tonight. The other teacher quit and I like the little girl a lot and want to help her get everything caught up and turned in so she can graduate this year.

Prayers for all who need them.
