Well, this mom is pulling rank and putting the screws to them.  I told them the phone was pinged to our address (it wasn't as the phone is not on and I didn't have the Family Locator at the time...but will be soon!!!) so it has to be here.  I also told them I'm done being nice and I want the &*#$ thing on the table before the end of the day and if it isn't, then both of THEIR phones are to be given to me until mine is found!  When THEY become inconvenienced, whoever has it will cough it up.  Again, my oldest, who I suspect took it initially and now figures she's in it too deep and doesn't know how to get out of it, incriminates herself with stuff she says.  She said to me, "well, if whoever has it is smart, they will just bring it down and put it on the charger so it will be turned in and no one will know who did it.    So many little snipits like that she has said, then turns around and says with conviction, "I don't have it"!!!    She has done this a few other times when she was younger (hide stuff from someone and then adamantly deny that she did it) so I know she's capable of thinking as she has!!!  Like I said, I can really start putting the screws on them and eventually the phone will show up!!!

How funny (I know it's not amusing to you).  I am suprised you haven't went off your rocker yet.  I wondered what made her start doing this and thinking it was amusing?

The couple other times she did this sort of thing to her sisters (one was a favorite toy and the other her Nintendo DS!!!), she was soooo adamant that she didn't have it, didn't know what happened to it, etc.  If she had gotten into it with one of them, that was her way of getting back at them.  Like I say, I really don't know why she would do it as we haven't been cruel by ANY stretch of the imagination.  Heck, we just spent $200 on her letterman jacket as well as $400 for a class ring so she SHOULD be washing every dish, scrubbing every floor, and vacuuming every rug in appreciation but...no!!!  Things will get interesting once THEIR phones are taken away.  Next will the the TVs from their rooms!!!  HA!  Playing dirty, I know, but hopefully it will prove effective!!!

This is exciting.  I look forward to your posts by the way even if they aren't about the phones.

As do I, Jill is probably one of the most level-headed people I know, and I am proud to call her Sis.

I don't have kids but I have always been interested in what parents do in certain situations so if/when I do have children, it will give me some insight on what to do.  The funny thing is...I would have been p'd off about this situation already but Jill is just sitting there being all cool.

Hi George! Just wanted to say hello and make a correction on my prayer request. My brother Jerry was diagnosed with some type of lung disease and is pending more tests. My son jeremy was the one with chest pains in th ehospital. He was released Friday, but continues to have pains. They said it was pleurosy (sp?) He hassn't worked a day this week due to the pain..
