Another pretty day outside. Enjoy it folks. And this weekend is supposed to be just as nice.
I put out a request for prayer updates. PLEASE give me an update if you want your prayer request to remain on the list. Thanks.
Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Evenin' George....
Great day today, wasn't it?!? Just beautiful outside! Good news about the dog for you guys. Hope it works out for you!
Well, it has definitely been an odd month, and one of sheer crappiness for the kids' tennis team. Obviously the big thing was the kids' coach. Now, two more things... One of the boys on the JV team was suddenly out of breath during school a few weeks back. His mom came and got him and they went to the hospital. He is now down at Texas Children's Hospital and is looking at needing a heart transplant! Unreal! Next Tuesday they are sponsoring a benefit for him out here in Katy. $10 gets someone a BBQ dinner with ALL the proceeds going to Harrison's new heart fund! We all plan on going and plan on giving them double the cost of our dinner as a donation. He has a Caringbridge page - I'll have to find the website addy for it. His name is Harrison Hughes. Hope everyone can keep him in their thoughts. No kid that age wants to sit day by day in the hospital, that's for sure!!! I'll keep you updated on Harrison's situation.
If that wasn't bad enough, another one of the boys on the JV team has had tragedy in their family as well. His dad suddenly passed away either yesterday or this morning. Unbelievable. I just feel so bad for these two boys. Hope they can find some inner strength to pull through their individual struggles.
Tomorrow Sarah has an afternoon soccer game. I'm on my own with her as Paul and the two older girls are going to "THE" big game. Katy is playing Cinco Ranch...the only team they lost to last year so they desperately want to beat Cinco this year. Weather should be great. The game is sold out and it's now standing room only. I'm actually glad I'm not going. I don't care for THAT kind of rivalry as it will be intense, for sure. It's actually on TV so Sarah and I will watch until it's time to go to her 2:00 game.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
It was sure scarce out there for the soccer game today. Lots of "single" parents like myself out there as the "other half" was probably at the Katy-Cinco Ranch game. Happy to report our Katy Tigers came out on top 21-20 (missed extra point by Cinco caused the one point deficit). Last year Katy lost to them so Cinco ended up winning the district title. This year, other way around! Now the Tigers will keep their eye on the prize and try to work their way up to a 3-peat state title for district 5A football! WooHooo!!! Officiating was terrible though. BOTH sides agreed to that!!!
Sarah's team struggled today as the heat was creeping back with higher humidity. Hard to run like that for an hour when you are 7-8 years old. They run out of gas quickly! I don't think they won (with this league, they don't keep score...) but it really didn't matter. I think we only have about three more games until the "season" is over anyway. Two in a row, then they skip the week of Thanksgiving, then the last one will be on December 5th.
I'd better go get Sarah off to bed!
