There's been a shooting ON BASE at Ft. Hood.  There are lots of dead and injured.  It's awful.  Say a prayer for those there and those who are deployed and wondering about their families.

2:50pm they are saying at least 2 possibly 3 shooters.  At least 7 dead and 20+ injured.  Really scary and sad.

Some reports are that it occurred at the Soldier Readiness Center.

Thanks Kris,

My cousin is deployed but his wife and girls are resident at Fort Hood.

Please pray real hard for those families that may have been at the facility.

My husband has a nephew from his previous marriage stationed there.  The ex-SIL called and said the young man is okay.  My heart goes out to all those who are in mental shamble because of this that took place.

My prayers and thoughts are with them all!

Blessings,

Prayers going out.  As the mother of a Navy soldier, I can't imagine how terrified those families are.

dear lord!
i know we have a few 'lurkers' here on the board that are stationed there. I FULLY and STONGLY believe the govt doesnt take PTSD as seriously as they should (even if that wasnt the case here). My heart, thoughts and prayers to those folks, the familys and the teams that are dealing with this, both now and in the future.

FAMILY-I had some HORRIBLE hours this afternoon. My oldest nephew..my first "baby"...is an Army Sgt-just moved to Ft Hood last month. Sunday he told me he would be working in the Soldier Readiness Center all week, training new guys. It took several hours for him to be able to call me today and let me know he's okay. He was crying and couldn't talk about what he saw, etc-just that he was not physically injured. Please keep my "Rusty" in your prayers. Y'all might remember his little son ,Ian, was the one who was burned badly summer before last-and made a full recovery-because of YOUR prayers!

What a horrible, horrible tragedy for all concerned. CRAP doesn't begin to describe it...

Thanks to our LORD for protecting my loved one.

Gina,

Thank God he's okay!  We will be keeping our military family in our prayers as they deal with this tragedy.
