The NIGH****CHMAN - Thursday 11/5
Things keep going back and forth at the part time job. Today may be the day I have to inform everyone of a mandatory reduction in hours.
I put out a request for prayer updates. PLEASE give me an update if you want your prayer request to remain on the list. Thanks.
Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

"Livin' Large, But Not Morbidly Obese!"
Another crazy busy day. I barely slept last night. In addition to the cold I've been fighting, the air quality in the rental house is not what I'm used to and my allergies kicked my butt all night. I worked late tonight so I didn't have to come home, but once I got here, I did find the furnace filter and pull it out. It seems clean. Nicole's coming over to look at it and give me her expert opinion (after living in this neighborhood for 18 months).
I'm wrapping up my first major project at work and still loving everything about it. I need to tidy up the house some. Michael's on his way back from SAT with the last of our stuff. He should arrive around midnight. I'm looking forward to having all of our stuff in one place again and getting organized.
I hope all goes well with the part time job today and you have a good night. I'll be around for a little while still. Prayers for all who need them.

If I were lying, wouldn't my pants be on fire?!?
I'm feeling better already. Still battling the cold, but at least I'm not wheezing.

Got a call tonight from a greyhound organization we deal with. They have an affectionate black greyhound, male. I explained we can not afford the $300 right now to adopt. Her answer was music to my ears. She said they had a lady who could not have dogs in her apartment who donated $300 and said to help someone who needs it to adopt a greyhound. God is wonderful!!! We will be checking the dog out soon. He was found in a ditch, with 2 dead dogs and has been nursed back to health. Very affectionate they tell me. That's what Mary wants. So we will get him soon and try him out. If it doesn't work out, they will take him back with no problems.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
The girls have early dismissal tomorrow. The high school is having a teacher's luncheon so asked for side dish/dessert donations. I made pumpkin bars. Not good for us bariatric people to eat, but ok for the "sugar doesn't effect me" group! V had to play the rest of her match today. I'm happy to report that she kicked that girl's tooshie to the curb and won 8-3. When the other girl walked over to hand the balls to V, she gave her some excuse that she was tired. My kiddo looked at her and said, "yeah, I'm tired too". Of course the girl had to come back and spout off that she has NO idea what tired really is..."I've got regular practice, then have to practice my serves, then this challenge match". V shrugged her shoulders and said TO HERSELF, "you'd best keep practicing"! hehehe....
I was so happy to get our family portrait back today. OMG, we have NEVER had one taken that looked good! I will try to figure out how to put it on my profile! The ONLY other one we had taken was when Sarah was only a few months old and I looked HORRIBLE!!! This time I put everyone in a shade of blue. Aside of a sort of goofy smile from Sarah, it looked great!!! Well, you know, I sent it to you...
Had to take Schnitzel to the vet today. Last night he was constantly shaking his head and itching everywhere! My vet is great. She treats us well. She has me come in every couple of weeks for a weight check on him as well as checking to see if he's ready for the ear cropping. She went ahead and treated his ears with a solution and an ointment, plus, had me give him half of a children's Benedryl. OMG, that stuff works great! He isn't itching near as much and hardly shaking his head now. She thinks he probably just had a reaction to something he might have brushed up against. She'll check him in a week to make sure his ears look ok. We're hoping to get the cropping done well before my plastics. Mom and dad definitely don't need anyone else to have to take care of while they are here, although if bandages needed changing, dad wouldn't have a problem doing it!
