PRAYER NEEDED FOR ME PLEASE !!!

Lynne.....I have my foot ready to do just that if you know what I mean. This stress is really getting to me. I never blow up at people....I am pretty much calm all the time....well not last night. I was so pissed off at her I was yelling at her. She is NOT following the rules. I was going to get Rosa's Cafe Taco Dinners last night. My hubby came home and wanted chili dogs. So I went to the store with my oldest son with me to get them. Came home and she and my middle son were both angry about that. I told them that what Dad wanted mattered more than what they did and they could eat a chili dog or eat something else ini the fridge. UGH Not going to let her put me through much more at all.

Prayers for you and your family Viv. I vote for the tossing her to the curb. Tell her one more pout or mouthiness and she's out the door. If he goes it's his choice. Hopefully he would eventually get tired of her being a pain in the rear. Any counselor will tell you they may have to suffer natural consequences to get through this and come out okay. If you try to save them, it will probably keep happening. You may enable him to keep up the lifestyle instead of ditching it.

Karla....the last thing that I want to be is a enabler for him to succeed at this drug rehab. but I am not putting up with much more of her crap. I think that she told him she was going to leave and go to her sister's. I have a feeling that her sister wouldn't take her in. Because she came in my house after talking outside and I told her that if she left the cell phone would stay at my house with Shawn since I paid the bill. She said that she wasn't leaving. I told her that is NOT what Shawn told me. Why in God's name this son got mixed up with someone like her I will NEVER know !!! ugh I could just scream. Tough love is what I am doing !!!

Vivian - I know what you are going through - my brother got involved with a crack ***** - had 3 children by her - she abused him, was in jail, got busted over and over - and he still stayed - until finally he couldn't take it anymore and that's when he finally gave up and killed himself - that's how my daughter Miranda ended up adopting his 3 teenagers.

I surely pray that your son sees the light.

Thank you so very much Lynne. Sorry your brother thought that killing himself was the only way out. Those are lucky kids to have Miranda as a mom though. Thanks I hope my son sees the light too.

Thank Karen.....I know that she could care less about me. I just pray my son is noticing how she is treating me. This son in middle school would beat kids up for calling me FAT !!! I can't believe he is sitting there letting her treat me this way. UGH I am not putting up with much more from either one of them.

The thing about recovery from addiction is, there can also be an enabler to help make recovery easier for the addict (just like some people enable during the heat of the addiction). Sounds like you're doing the absolute best thing and not enabling her recovery! Bravo!!! I'd tell her recovery is hard work and *I* was not the one who put you there so get your ass out of the chair and clean up after yourself, do some chores around the house, and stop mouthing back. This ain't the Ritz, honey. I do not have to help you. And if it means I lose my son in the process, so be it. (You don't necessarily mean that, but maybe it'll scare your son to know they're treading on very thin ice (not just her) and to shape up and start backing you fully instead of his girlfriend. Heck - I don't really know. What I do know is, it will take an act of God to bring back someone too far gone, and that act likely won't involve us. So unless girlfriend starts shaping up and flying right, she's about to have a come to Jesus meeting with the big Guy himself. Eeep.)

Jenny.....Our Church has Fort Worth Teen Challenge girls attending there. If you aren't familiar with Fort Worth Teen Challenge it is a 9 month live in program for any ladies that have problems with any substance abuse. ANY thing...drugs....prescriptions......alcohol !! Anyway we had baptisim sunday AM at church. I prayed really hard that God would touch them. The first lady to be baptised was a Teen Challenge lady probably late 20's early 30's who gave her testimony about being hooked on meth and how God delivered her from her long term drug abuse. I was praying that would touch them. I guess it didn't phase her at all. It did me....I about cried for that lady. No one can imagine how hard all this is on me and my family. Heck....my husband is so stressed over it too but she listens to him. UGH

you got it...this is a tough situation...may be time for some tough love...I understand your desire to help your son...but you owe this girl NOTHING...she can not come into your house and treat you like that...lay down the la=w...explain exaclly what behaviors you will not toerate...set a deadline for finding a job and stick to it....are they going to meetings daily? That should be mandatory as well....
