Forest Park Medical Center in Dallas???
I know Dr. B uses several facilities in Dallas depending on what your insurance considers in or out of network. I trust him completely, so if he wants to do surgery here, I'd say you are in good hands.
I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date. Current as of November 1, 2009
OH Mini-Challenge Goal for New Year's Day is 170 pounds. 11 pounds to go!
Had my vsg there in June and it was the best hospitol stay I ever had. Not only did my dr come by after surgury but the staff dr came by at least 6 times in 24 hours. Since they specialize in wls the diet is geared for it with lots of choices. Rooms were large with couches and recliners. Only down side is limited cafe hours so family/friends might have to go offsite for dinner and such.
Scars are like tatoos, but with better stories.
My Mom had her VSG there in Sept. It was wonderful! 85% of their patients are bariatric, so they are VERY knowledgeable of your needs. The rooms are BIG and there is FREE Wi-Fi. The nurses were superb. If I wasn't having to go to Mexico for my surgery (I am self-pay) I would want to make sure my surgery was there. Good Luck!
I had surgery there on Tuesday and just was discharged yesterday. It was a very nice place. The staff cater to you and make sure you get all your liquids and walk walk walk. They had me up at 3 am walking and sipping. They hounded me but that is what I needed. The more I walked the more I felt better and the staff kept encouraging me. I actually enjoyed that place. You are in good hands if you decide to have your surgery there. I also noticed on each door they have the Dr's name listed. I couldn't believe that it's that many Dr's that use that facility I was surprised.
