I can't help on any Bariatric specialty stores but just wanted to add to the hellos.  I hope you like it here.  I hope to start exploring some of the many support groups soon so maybe our paths will cross.

I will be in Oklahoma on Saturday for an SCA (medieval recreation) event.  But I will be attending the Grand Prarie meeting on Sunday.  Next time there's a Saturday meeting if i'm in town I will be there for sure!

I'd love to learn more about what you're doing with burlesque. I'd love to quit having a day job and just become a burlesque dancer, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make the $$ I'm used to. Is there a local group up here? Tell me more!

There are actually a couple of Burlseque troups here in DFW.  I don't dance with any of them but enjoy going to the shows.  I'll be sure to post when I'm headed out next.  Any dancing I do is actually on a one off basis and is just for fun.  :)

Definitely PM me when you're headed out next. Last year, my husband and I were in NYC for his birthday and I took him to the burlesque show at Corio in the West Village. The year before for his birthday, we did a burlesque show at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin.

Actually, when my mom was helping pack up my house in San Antonio last week, she found a pair of black glitter covered pasties and asked what they were. She turned several shades of red when I told her.

I'm from a teeny tiny farm down about an hour north of Lansing originally.  I miss my family but don't miss so much living there.  I certainly have a 'city girl' gene.  Before I moved to Texas I actually lived in Chicago for 8 years.  Now....if you ask me if I miss Chicago...the answer would be EVERY DAY.  I get homesick for Chitown at least once a week and I've lived here for as long as I've lived there.

But I do love the DFW area.  I have met incredible people here.  It certainly has its own unique vibe but once you embrace your inner 'Texan" all will be great!.
